you know, Im sure everyone that has contributed to this thread thought he was acting in defense of the Christmas or Holiday spirit he believes in.  Im not going to argue with anyone here.  (However, SE Luke Ch 2:7 proves you wrong on the reference to a  manger in the Bible.  Thats just free for youre info)

I dont think anyone knows what day of the year Christ was born.  The important thing is HE WAS BORN.

No one can do much about why and how Christmas began being celebrated on Dec25th  Get over that

Santa is the fairy tale, yet I must have missed that criticism........Im willing to bet there is no Bible reference for Santa......

Heres my bottom line on Christmas............Im pretty much a bah humbug on the commercialism of the holiday.....I buy gifts for the children in my life for Dec 25th the whole Santa thing, but I buy things for people in my life all year round whenever it is right.

Christmas to me is merely a fun name for the second commandment of the new covanent in the Bible where we are to love our "neighbor" as ourselves.  Christmas should last 364.25 days a year IMHO and it shouldnt matter what you call the one day.......

As a member of a few motorcycle sites I am surprised to see what goes on here.  All the political and religious arguing take over.
Im new here and probably an A-hole for saying this...we will see.

Never claimed to offended and as a new guy I was not around to  see it " discussed and hammered to death".  I will just go back to reading the tech forum

"I'll bet Jesus and I would be drinking buddies."

I bet you say that about anyone who makes water into wine. Smiley

But to the point of the thread...

It's the Holiday season.
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years
Nothing wrong with Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas.

Berating someone wishing you well and wishing you happiness. Yeah, that's the Christmas spirit.

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year everyone.

OK... Merry Christmas everybody.

Merry Christmas, Wayne, and merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates the event.

Happy Hanukkah  to everyone who celebrates that event.  Yes, I know it probably should have been Chanukah, but cheery Chanukah just didn't seem to go.

And Happy 2010 to all of us (excepting of course the Chinese (Not of the U.S., Canada, or Singapore, but of the People's Republic of China.  I've been rejecting their requests by the score.).

While we're at it:  There is no biblical reference to three wise men, no reference to a manger, and no reference to a star so bright.  It's all made up.  A fairy tale.

WRONG................. AGAIN!

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

I just want to apologize to anyone whom may have been offended by my little rant with someone in this thread. I did not write the bible, just wanted to correct someone and lost my cool. I will never again reply to any "religious" topics, as I am 100% sold out to Jesus and am not ashamed of that. If that offends you, it will be the last time from me. 3fan4life, Merry Christmas brother,
