just got off the phone with Cheaha hotel folks...

as of Friday...there were:

2 double non smokin rooms
2 cabins
2 4 person chalets

one cabin and both chalets were pet friendly

they told me, there are 5 on the waiting list. what they do...is ....try to call those folks as they get time. but...they do NOT leave a message. if they don't get a person to answer...they move on down the list. they don't want to leave a message....and say rooms are available....then move on down the list....and.....you can see the confusion this could cause.

so bottom line...if you are on the list....or....need a room/cabin/chalet....i'd call and be proactive! EVEN IF YOU ARE ON THE LIST!!!! They may release unclaimed rooms "to the general public" soon?

also, they've had a lot of turmoil up top. One restaurant worker was killed in a horrible car crash last week...and....the main Hotel POC had her husband go into the hospital for major surgery. so they have been short handed. So, if you call and get a busy signal...KEEP TRYING!

for those staying in the Baldrock Private lodge...no need to go to the hotel for checkin when you arrive. Come see me or Sherry and "ground zero"....at the private lodge. we'll have your key for your room! You'll be good to go and will have no need to go to the hotel main lobby for anything....we'll take care of ya'!
