Went in 06 and been wanting to go again. Join us at McDonald's in Crestview on US 90 west of Hwy 85 @ 8 AM, KSU at 8:30 or meet us there. It gets kinda crowded after 10 but plenty to eat.

Ok......back in town, I checked.  The stagecoach run "Last Ride of the Year" is on Thursday Dec 30.  Once again Saturday (its usually on the last Sat) is Christmas so there you have it.

Judy and I plan on this ride every year WEATHER PERMITTING (right Steve  lol)  We usually leave Crestview around 0800 and head toward Baker/Century/Flomaton and then to Stockton.

Last year we didnt quite make it all the way, so we hope to do better this time!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone near Northwest Florida, South Alabama or even farther (riders ride LONG to come here) that want to join us....just pipe up!

Sorry Steve.....didnt see this post until I made one with almost the same title.....at least I got the time right and if anyone did express an interest I was going to pick the same meet place.

It would really be cool to get 4 or 5 Valkyries from around the area to go this year

Long range forecast doesn't look all that promising at this point.

Hey BF......hoping to see you pop in here.......actually id rather see scattered showers 10 days out on the forecast than sun because no matter what the forecast is here in FL, its bound to change...........so plan on getting that red and white all cleaned up and ready to go cooldude

Bump to the top.  Weather outlook is improving for 30 Dec.  Plenty of time to plan on joining us.  Great Country Buffet and a chance to kick tires with riders from far away.

There's this one rider who comes from the Northwest to win the furtherest distance award. And the middle of winter at that.

Took the day off. I'll see ya at 8 at McDonalds.

OK the latest from the Weather Channel is "few showers" 30% chance of precipitation.  That there is good enough for me, and I dont like to ride in the rain.  However, Im still holding out that the rain thats supposedly coming in for Thursday will be late Thursday or Friday....

OK, most of the day I was not able to get on here.........?............but tomorrow is the ride.  "They" say the rain is going to hold off.  could be some little drizzles, but its a go so far unless the morning brings a terrible reality of stronger rain.  So especially you BF.........check the weather and check here and so will I.

Steve (Stormrider) had some trouble....had to spend a day in the hospital.  He is alright but will not be riding tomorrow.  My other friend from this area looks like he has to work.  So the herd is thinning but unless you hear otherwise right here.  0800 at the radio shack/McDonalds parking lot on HWY 90 west of the center of town 2 or 3 blocks from the intersection of Hwy 85N and Hwy90

Well, I could not get on here this am...so I went to the meeting point and stayed till a few minutes after 0800.  No one showed, and I have to think it was the rain.....so.....I decided not to go either because it really looked guaranteed it was going to be wet in southern Alabama.

So I rode a bit around here where it was dry and when I got home there was an email in my inbox that two of my Patriot Guard buddies went down on the way to the Stagecoach Cafe.  Wow......a cold cloudy day with rain here and there...EXACTLY LIKE LAST YEAR.......the only difference was Judy and I and my HD riding friend were the two bikes that went down.

They are going to be alright...one has a broken finger and the other a broken leg.

So we try again....

How about this.  I have a spring get the cob webs off country road ride we do every april or may or whenever the sun gets warm again.  Maybe we all (in near areas) can get together for that one.

This is eerily similar..........the accident for the two guys that went down on the stagecoach run was just like the one a year ago that took me and Judy down.  Two bikes, the trailing bike loses it and his bike takes out the lead bike.  Same as what happened to us.

Heres the difference...the guy in the lead.  His name is Troy PRAY FOR HIM PLEASE after he went down he hit a SUV in the oncomming lane.  He DID NOT hit it head on but he has compound fx of the femur and the tib/fib of the same leg and a crushed wrist.  The doctor said the wrist is "dust"

He had surgery yesterday but has many more to go.

Hes hurting.......will be for a long time.  I dont know the relationship between him and the other rider, but I can tell you from experience it takes work to forgive even a mistake that hurts you that bad.........so that is something he will deal with too.
