Could be snowbound until the Spring thaw?  Looks like fuzzy's first Weather Station in the Cascade Mountains.

Toy house, birdhouse, or dollhouse would be my guess. 40 feet of snow would smash a real one. Wink

Here is an image from the visitor center in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. This roof is so the snow doesn't collapse the roof: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://rdlippert.com/images/2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://rdlippert.com/pages/Image2.html&usg=__3FIYfGKcAd_iT2e0uAVJM84c0N0=&h=480&w=640&sz=123&hl=en&start=0&sig2=CYooXHZHFeD1dg9iGmb_QQ&zoom=1&tbnid=KFsh9I3hx4NCzM:&tbnh=141&tbnw=193&ei=c7wWTYqdGoP-8AbEnunYDQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Drmnp%2Bvisitor%2Bcenter%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26biw%3D1015%26bih%3D598%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C114&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=135&vpy=295&dur=1227&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=161&ty=83&oei=c7wWTYqdGoP-8AbEnunYDQ&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0&biw=1015&bih=598

We were at one of the Visitor's Centers at Rocky Mountain National Park during Inzane 9... was wild seeing the tall poles sticking up out of the ground around all the buildings, paths, lots, etc. It is surreal to imagine having a need to locate an ENTIRE BUILDING that is covered in snow!

It depends on the snow. When I lived in Ontario you shovelled a foot of snow 4" at a time; it was wet and very heavy. Here in Alberta with a foot of snow you put the shovel on the walk, push it with one hand to the other end of the walk and give it a kick to finish off. The snow here is light and fluffy. Eastern snow is like shovelling water, here it's like shovelling air. 20 feet of snow like that weighs like 1 1/2 feet of snow in the east.
