i have a 2000 interstate that has the rivco centerstand installed. my question is does the ebay lift adapter advertised on ebay for 54.95   made by rivco or by the betterbuilt-mc-co that advertises it and if rivco made it why do they not list it for sale on their website. also does this this stay on the bike( ie bolted to it or does it come mount to the lift.also will it work with the rivco centerstand already installed?anyone with personal experience buying or using this or another product similar would be appreciated;who  is this betterbuilt co as i can google any info about them

To my knowledege I don't think the rivco will work with a centerstand. I have designed an adapter that will work with them that is removable with just one bolt or can be left on permanently. I will be making some for sale soon. I am just deciding on the design that I want to make. I will try to post some pics of mine in a little bit.

Here are some pics of the one I made for my bike. Notice that with just one bolt it can be removed in  about 5 mins. I don't even have to get under the bike. I can squat down and look between the muffler and the engine and see what I am doing.

I just bought the adapter you are asking about from betterbuilt mc. I have Rivco
centerstands on both my valks and the adapter works fine. I think their reference
to Rivco is just their way of telling you they make an adapter that fits the Rivco
stand. The adapter does NOT mount permanantly to the bike; its held on by 2
"L" type bolts that go into holes in the lower engine block. I used the "ask the seller
a question" from the Ebay site telling them what I wanted and they responded quickly. I think the quality of this adapter is very good. You can look to pay
about $75 after they add s&h costs. Hope this helps... if you have anymore ???
just drop me an email.

No drilling, cutting, welding required. May need a adj. wrench if that. Easy install in seconds.Stable enough to do any repair etc. you want or store your bike for the winter.

....does this [betterbuilt-mc-co] stay on the bike (ie bolted to it or does it come mount to the lift).

2 L-bolts attach the betterbuiltĀ® adapter to the engine for "temporary" mount. If you do decide to buy it, it's wise to tighten the L-bolts sufficiently because a number of people have forgotten that it's still on the bottom of the bike until after riding for a few miles down the road. For example, you left the adapter on the bike the night before to do some work the next morning, but decided to take a quick ride to the store. Unfortunately the adapter does not mount also to the lift jack arm as the Ross Spoonland version. (Photos from an earlier thread.)
