DS-0009 ...... # 173

Des Moines, IA

« on: January 07, 2011, 12:46:26 AM »

Things went to hell in a wicker basket evening of 12/30/2010.

My blood pressure went to under 100 on the top # when I stand up.
1. Laying Down,  it is normal.
2. Set up and it drops to just above 100.
3. Stand up and it can be anywhere from 75 to 99.

Then tie that in with Congestive heart failure, and the old boy was on borrowed time for a few days.

Then, they discovered I am a border line diabetic.  This is a new one.  At least this can be monitored and possibly corrected with medications.

I'll try to fill in more gaps later.

RJ, are you taking Flomax perchance? Dr. had me on that for a short time and it knocked me on my butt....had exactly the same symptoms. If I was sitting up in my Lazy Boy and just turn my head quickly.....WHOA, I'd darn near fall out of the chair. At times the BP was 90/50 and I couldn't function. Then I started to open the capsule and dump about half the grains out and take just that. Major improvement, but quit using it altogether.

Glad to hear things are on the upswing, now mind the nurses. Especially that red headed one.  Wink

I'm home Carl.

Got out of the brig at 7:30 PM last night.

Your own bed, getting orders from the Colonel, and home cookin sure do make the heart go around....   LOL.   Love it.....   Only trouble is, this old T/Sgt has no one left to order around.

Still lugging a folley around, but that is only for 5 more days, thank God.

I hear you on the home fort.  Comfortable surroundings and home cooking is good medicine.

I hate them too. Three years ago I had one in for a week and a stent to the bladder for two months. Told the dr. next time just shoot me....be less painful than the cure he prescribed.

Pardon my French, but you don't know how F'in glad I  am to be home.

I'm on a 40' leash, but at least I can walk around from room to room, sleep in my own bed, that is the bestest one.

Hopefully, they can get the heart to working correctly, then I can live with the other problems.

I know a quick way to keep that heart going just hardwire it to the accessory fuse on your bike and keep ridding. 2funny Hope they get that sucker ticking better soon. cooldude
