Kinda snowy out, for around these parts...

The kitty likes snow, he's a blast to watch...

My favorite place to sit, and the view from there...

Carolyn feeds the horses...

What's under there...

PAF....

I finished the gable end parts of this roof over Christmas break... I've been working on one part or
the other of this barn since the summer before I got the Valkyrie...

Wow, we haven't even had that much snow in No VA this year.  More tonight and tomorrow though.

Hey Mike, that barn looks like a ..... toll booth.   angel

Snow is pretty, but the novelty wears off the older we get.  I think it's pretty for about 15 minutes. LOL

I went out this afternoon to clean 4 to 6 inches of snow off my Tahoe. The snow had about a 1/4 inch thick ice crust.

Then as a reward I took it to the end of the short srteet I live on to the cul de sac and I span in circles until I chuckled. Well I did my civic duty, I cleared soem of the snow right down to the blacktop.

Schools are closed again tomorrow. No school bus driving, no pay, darn it.

Well, we didn't go anywhere on Monday or Tuesday, so it is virgin ice/stuff for hundreds of feet before
we hit any kind of road from where our cars are parked. It has gone to 38 degrees or so on
Tuesday and Wednesday, causing the bottom layer to melt, and it refreezes at night. We only have
one inch or so of frost-depth here in SC, but the ground freezes at night too.  I tried to
get out with the Mini yesterday (Wednesday) but it got stuck right away, I had to hoe out channels
for the wheels just to back it back to where it should be. Today I'll see if the truck will go in this
stuff... the roads are all clear once you get out to the real world... I guess people who are used
to this have enough sense to "clear the driveway" before it freezes into a block of ice?

Ida know  crazy2 I went over two mountain passes during a snow storm in Colorado in a Geo Metro, but
I guess that was all the right kind of packed snow. I backed the truck out today past the Mini and
backed all the way down the driveway... the dirt road past my place was OK and all the paved roads are dry...

Better times are coming !

It can't get any better  Wink
