What a Great Weekend to Ride!

I didn't hear from the Wild Bunch this weekend and it was calling for snow Saturday so I didn't call anyone either. Saturday started by getting the truck loaded and hauling trach to the pickup station and breakfast at Waffle House. The sun was out and not a cloud in the skt; 28 degrees but nice. Rushed home, dawned the wonderful Gerbings gear and rode for a few hours. Same thing today. Cold and clear so another ride was in order. Rode for a few hours stopping at a favorite resturant on Clinch Mtn. for soup and coffee. Mid thirty degrees when I got home each evening but a wonderful time spent in the saddle enjoying the day. Sorry, no pics--forgot the camera in my rush both days!

I envy those that are able to ride. Our roads here in Ohio (back roads) are still covered to a large degree. Cold too. 18 for a high. Our good days are coming though and if they dont I have a trailer that I can load up and point south.

I can't believe the Wild Bunch to be such finiky eaters! The Vineger Pie is delicious! I had vegetable soup, grilled cheese sandwich and coffee; along with some good conversation with the owners. Their business is slow right now due to the economy and the weather. The Vineger Pie doesn't suit everyone but the rest of their food is very good. And they welcome bikers from all over! A great ride on a cold day!
