So far,  cold temps and not too much snow, a little each day.  The salt is heavy on the streets.

Tomorrow and Wednesday, the weather man is predicting a big change.  Heavy snow up to 20 inches, sleet and freezing rain up to 1 inch, very low temps, and high winds.  I think that covers it (it should).

I'm not too smart.  Living here in Northeast Indiana for 82 years and too dumb to move elsewhere in the winter. As Danny Glover used to say "I'm getting too old for this chit".  I have pms and pas ( known mostly to retired persons as Parked Arse Syndrome).

I'm not exactly complaining but I'm close to it,  Smiley

solo, be careful in the next few days, looks like you're going to get nailed with one heck of a snow storm!!  my brother lives in crystal lake il. he's a mail carrier and they're expecting 20 inches!!!  don't know if you're in the storms path, just be careful!!

it's funny how so many people are probably out shopping for food and provisions!!

Vell, come Vensday, and we will see if we have 6 more weeks of this sheet.........

If I was allowed on my tractor blower, I wouldn't give a rat's crack.    I just don't like seeing my better 1/2 out there with a firkin shovel......   Just wish she would give the tractor a chance and try it....   She might like it.

Sheez, it has power steering, hydrostat, the whole 10 yards.   Myself I loved running it.    Loved seeing that snow leave my drive and end up on the parking across the street, or I could just toss it out about 3 to 5 yards to the front or either side in narrow places, like between the houses on my East driveway..

Bring it over Thursday RJ and have fun on my driveway.

My 30 year old Toro two stage has been working fine but 4 horses and 21 inch cut takes awhile to clear the snow. As for having fun snow blowing, I'm not that crazy. Grin Grin Grin

Wayne -

The weather guessers around here are working us up into a frenzy... calling for 12-20" of snow over the next 48 hours... a full blizzard on Wednesday AM...which you will probably get Thursday...

I expect school will be called off hours BEFORE we actually get all the snow!  Back in my day, if you could still open your porch door, you went to school!...but that was another time.  I guess my parents didn't value my life as much 'cause they sent me to school even when it snowed!!!

I'm officially sick of winter too!

Meanwhile I'm off to the store to buy milk, eggs, water, gas, doritos, chip dip and what ever else they say we'll need to weather the 5-8 hours waiting for the plow trucks to open our street on Wednesday  Grin

only another 8 weeks of PMS...  it will give me time to do some maintenance on the old Valk...

Nope not just you. {*shiver*}  And we don't have as much snow as they do down state! AND we're not even halfway through winter  Cry I guess I should be happy for the local businesses. They needed the income from the snowmobilers and the sleds are all over the place now. I think you're going to get more snow than us this time too. Hunker down, stay warm, and wear good sticky-bottom boots when you do go out :thumb:

Nah winter is the same length every year!  Grin

We're ready for it here. I gotta work on tue, always in warren when a storm hits.  Sad We got lots of 5 gal buckets of water in the basement, plenty of firewood, and a gallon of Jack Daniels.  cooldude Power goes out we got a wood burner for heat. I like times like this. Even when I'm stuck at work for 2 days. Worst'll be plowing the drive and feeding the horse & cow.

Henry008, hope your daughter makes it back ok.

We're ready to move west also. It was 60 deg in Sturgis a few days ago..............

We're well stocked on groceries.  Extra gas for the snow blower, portable generator, wood stove with some logs, 1/2 gallon of Chivas Regal, club soda, and chains for my shoes. Oh yeah misc dissuaders for uninvited guests.

I'll be hunkering down and thinking of Inzane XI. Smiley

I too am really ready for Spring. I have a few safety chrome items to add to the Valk and maybe enhanse the rear lighting as well. Weather man is calling for 1 to 3" tonight, 1 to 3" tomorrow and 6 to 10" tomorrow night. By the end of February our Winter is about over and it can't come soon enough IMHO.

Alph,

I met you last year at the Reunion in La Crosse, at the drive in. The LED work you did to your bike was amazing.  I see on a few other threads your adding a bunch a new things. I'm sure your Interstate will keep getting better and even more beautiful. You really do wonderful work.

All the best,

Mark

I don't see any cup holders. I'd bet she'd use it if it had cup holders. My wife is big into cup holders.
