I always wonder when I get these if they are real. This one hits close to home. Most of you know that Brittany is my Granddaughter but their are many other Granddaughters in NY who would be protected by this legislation.

Hi Everyone,
For all of you who haven't heard, I've been very active in trying to change things about the street where my daughter Brittany Lee Vega was hit and killed Sept 22, 2010. I would have been willing to cut off my limbs to save her but since she's gone and I can't bring her back, I'm trying to do what I can to help the other children in my community and the surrounding areas. I'm sure there's not one person who wouldn't want to help.....therefore please do so. Please click on the link below and sign the petition to pass "Brittany's Law". I've been working with The Tri-State Transportation Campaign in hopes that I can make a difference for the next child that tries to walk to school (whether or not they were given permission). You never want to find out in the manner that I did that your teenager tried to walk to school and didn't make it across. Please feel free to pass this link along to everyone you know, family, co-workers, friends and anyone who you think can get a bunch of signatures.
