I know that Kawasaki made some diesel dirt bikes for the military but I thought that that would start a new line of motorcycles powered by diesel.   Wonder why none of the major motorcycle manufacturers didn't pursue that.   I'd be real interested in one.

Kawasaki won the Government contract for the diesel bikes and no one else jumped on the band wagon.    Figured if they didn't have a chance to sell them there would be no recovery of R&D costs.

Plus I'd venture to say they never figured these Skirmishes in foriegn countries would last this long.

Too bad that nice looking cruiser only sold for $85,000 a copy... they did use some really interesting technology in the engine though.
