Talked to one of the mechanics (on phone) at local trike shop today and sounds like they might have a few used u-joints on hand (take-offs for trike conversion). I'm supposed to meet with him next week and compare the one I have with the ones he has to confirm they are correct part.  If there's enough interest I'll post more next week on how you can contact him.

They might be off a 1500 GoldWing which shares the same u-joint .... stay tuned !!

When you find out what they are going for email me take out the (takethisout) part in the email.  I have one take-out, but could use another if the price is right.

Alright here's the skinny .... they are not used they are NEW in the package.  If you want a brand NEW Valkyrie U-Joint you need to contact Jay @ 320-275-9333  -  They are in a plastic bag with Honda part #40200-MZ-A00  -  He wants $102 (price on the bag) and you'll have to work out if any tax & shipping

He works at Bad Boys Custom Trike Shop. He said he has four (4) of them .... Get them while you can !!!! Tell him Ron sent ya  Wink

Here is their website ....

bigfish_oh......i got a phone call this morning from bad boys custom too.....they said that the owner had already sold all of the u-joints on e-bay, and there were none left, so i did not get one either.  oh well!  i know one thing for sure...... if honda does not get their pop in a row and make these u-joints available, then ultimately they will be out of business because nobody in their right mind would buy a honda when honda is going to leave customers out in left field holding the bag!!!!!!!!! tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff

Ah, NOT true! I was told from Volvo that they guarantee to have parts for x number of years after the last production run is over. I forget what the x was, either 18, 20 or 25 years. I sold my 86' Volvo 740T about 3 years ago, and could still get parts from the dealer. Of cource, they are cheaper buying used.

uumm .... not sure what happened over there at BadBoysCustoms.  I stopped in there today and asked if he got any phone calls and he said "Yeah, ALOT !!"  I think he was totally unprepared for the onslaught of phone calls. He said he must have gotten close to a 100 phone calls on those U-Joints.  And he did mention that he thinks he pissed off a few on how it was handled on his part.  Not sure how many were actually sold but he said they went "FAST".   He tried to call his supplier to get more but found out quickly what we already know. He said "Those things must be HOT !!"

The gal they have working there isn't real up on things (I'm being nice here) and prolly wasn't aware of what was actually happening I'm guessing on the e-bay comment.

He thinks he might have a used Valkyrie u-joint at another shop if someone is interested.

Anyway I hope a few of you were able to score on one of those NEW U-Joints.  Sorry if it didn't turn out very well .... was only trying to help out.

sodbuster....goose here....let me say one thing....you did one he$$ of a job locating these u-joints....and jay at bad boys was really nice to deal with.  jay did not know that natasia (the girl you speak of) had even put the u-joints up on e-bay, so jay can't be held responsible for any of that problem.  i think that jay was more upset about all of this than anybody.  things like this happen......sooner or later we all will be able to come across one, or at least i hope so.  who knows, maybe even jay will come across some more.  irregardless, thank-you again for taking your time to try and help out those of us who have a bike down with a broken u-joint.  I DO APPRECIATE YOU....john Smiley

Thanks to all for the kind words .... much appreciated.

As far as calling the Trike shops .... give them a call .... can't hurt anything. Keep in mind the 1500 GoldWing shares the same U-Joint with the Valkyrie (drive shafts are different thou). They may have some U-Joints on the shelf as extra's !!
