Just got home from the hospital. The shift was changing over and will not let anyone back in Brians room for a couple hours.

Before I left he was under a cooling blanket due his temp being alittle high. Blood pressure is still high. They did back his sedation medicine down so that they could check his responses. On his left side he gave a thumbs up and wiggled his foot but right side is very little movement, also not much eye movement on the right side. I did hold his hand and talked to him and he squeezed my hand and had a tear on his cheek. The doctors told us to expect the worse and hope for the best. We did tell him Stevie Nicks was in the room and he moved his arm so that made us smile.
We had prayer before Noah and I left and I ask that you please continue your prayers. Please also keep Noah(Cowbell) in your prayers. Brian is his Godfather and is very close to him, Noah has already suffered 1 horrible loss I can't bear the thought....

Brian has a long, hard road ahead of him and will need all of our support and love.  My Dad had a stroke in April '06.  The first few weeks were full of frustration for him.  He was paralyzed on his left side and had a hard time doing everything including talking.  It was days before they let him eat.  They had to do a test to make sure when he swallowed it went to his stomach, not his lungs.  He swore and cussed me out several times.  It was because of his frustration.  He needed help with everything.  He couldn't do anything for himself anymore.  Also he had problems communicating.  He knew what he wanted to say.  Just couldn't get it from his brain to his mouth.  That increased his frustration even more.  If you or Noah want to talk, shoot me a pm here or on fb and I'll shoot my number.

I am very sorry to hear of Brian's stroke. He is a wonderful man and one of many that I truly respect here. He is a class act for certain. I'll be praying for his speedy recovery; Brian is a fighter so I have no doubt that he will get back to health if it is in God's will. I know it will be hard on Thelma, Noah and you Rhonda, he will need all of you for this rodeo. My prayers are with you all too! Please let us know if you need anything!

Drs came in at 2am to check his responses and he wouldn't respond but they said not to be concerned yet. Could get worse before better, Thelma said they would be back in this morning to check him again. I'm going to the hospital shortly and get another update. Thanks to all for the prayers, keep them coming.

Hey everyone. Please pray for BS Nicely. His wife Thelma called after midnight asking for me to come to the hospital. Brian had suffered a stroke. Just got word that it was caused by hypertension. As of this morning he is still on a vent and is heavily sedated. Thelma said his speech was very slurred and could not move his right side when she called 911.
This has hit us very hard especially Noah(Cowbell). Brian was his Dad's best friend(Old Skool) and Brian is his Godfather. Brian and Noah are very close and to see him upset was hard for me.
I will keep you all posted. We got home at 6 this morning and will be going back to the hospital in a short while.
Rhonda        Even though I no longer have my Valkyrie I still read the posts on the board,I guess it's a hard habit to break after 10 years of doing it.I'm so sorry to hear about Brian and will say a prayer for him. Last time I saw him he was with your husband at one of the Valkyrie rallys. Take care, C908

Just talked to Thelma and the Dr's had just left. She was very upset, Dr's told her he is not responding or waking up like he should be and if things do not change by Monday she will need to sit down and talk to them on what the options are. We cannot believe this is happening. First Steve(Old Skool) and now possibly Brian, more than we can bear. PLEASE continue to pray.
