Just curious....does anyone know what the ICM is like in the Wing? I can't seem to locate it in the IPB on HDL or Service Honda. Just doing some thinking, that's dangerous....and expensive.  Wink

its has a different main connection, and uses three extra engine sensors and has a vacuum advance connection. The 1st to 4th yrs (I have to look at my notes) GL1500s use multiply plugs whereas the later ones use a single harness connection. I was able to get one of the later yrs off of ebay for $20, most however go for $100 such as pinwall. It has a larger width and weighs less then the Valkyrie ICM.
The extra sensors can easily be added to the valkyrie engine except for the air intake sensor to our engine which most likely could be added to the airbox. The GL has it in the intake manifold. The other two are gear selector and water temp.
pinwall has the complete electrical harness that is needed for $40-60.

shows the ignition advance with and w/o the vacuum advance and when a 4 TW is added

This sounds like it could be an interesting tweak to the Valkyrie. I wounder why they didn't do it from the get-go? Then again it also doesn't make sense that when they introduce the interstate they didn't start building all the Valks with larger tanks, fuel guages, and the Interstate ICM.

$$$$ maxed their profits during the cruiser fad at the time. I guess they figured only the butt jewelry group was their target market.
pinwall has main harness right now for $30. Just picked one up, they used to want $100 like other ebay sellers. no buyers price dropped.
on my back burner project list since I use a dyna ICM and OEM TW modified for 6 degrees right now. just have to switch off/on the addtional advance.

you might check the yro, and if it won't help look at the bgp. but there is never a guarantee, if you want to be absolutely sure do the pop or the nac. then next time you post let us know what the lld you are talking about -- lol !
