I never met Brian personally but got to know him on the board and through a fundraiser he did for a little girl with cancer.  He IS  a special man with a big heart.
Our prayers are with you all.

I've been following this post for days now not knowing what to say. All I can say is I'm sorry and hope Brian's family, Rhonda, Craig, Noah, and everyone will be ok. I met Brian several times and he was quite a man.  Most friendly and someone you were glad you met. RIP Brian

Sad news indeed....but it has a happy ending. We know where he

I only met him a couple of times. He was the type of man that

  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry
Several years ago Carolina Girl and I decided to spend 4 or 5 days exploring West Virginia. I posted Brian on the old board and asked about things we should do and things/places to avoid. Prior to that I had met him very briefly @ the Hoot. Next day I had a two page e-mail from Brian. He suggested places to see, places to stay, places to eat and roads to ride. I planned our itinerary entirely from Brian's e-mail. We had a great time. Fortunately for us we got to spend some time with Brian, Thelma, Zach, Rhonda and Noah in the years after our WVa trip. Brian was a prince among men.
Think I'll put on a Fleetwood Mac album and celebrate his life for a while. Think about how lucky I was to have met him.
Ride on Brother Brian............

The rolling highway was his freedom
The wind gave him wings to fly
There was no greater peace on earth for
him than to soar beneath clear blue skies

      Mother nature all around him
And father time upon his heels
      He'd have given almost anything
For a pair of wings and two wheels

Life's roads could take him anywhere
so he traveled them one by one
And though his life on earth is over,
His greatest journey has just begun.

Above the clouds and through the gates
   once on the other side.....
He'll meet those gone before him,
  and together they will ride.

A good friend of mine wrote this for me to read a a funeral when one of my best friends and riding buddy passed away and I thought of it when I heard the news on Brian.

Rest in peace my friend, .....

Brian is going to be missed by too many. Not just the few he touched within this community, but think of the lives he touched everywhere he went. I only met Brian once, and we rode that day of Steve's memorial. I was so taken by the Love he showed to Rhonda and Noah.Thank you Brian for providing for your Family, as well as your friends. You see Brian was ready for this day. I am sure he did not plan on going just yet, but he did prepare. Thank you for being an example of a man with his faith in the right place, to ensure he will see his wife, family and Steve where he is now. He walked the talk and I am going to miss him, but I know for sure I will get to ride with him again. And I will get to ride my Cool Vanilla tourer with Brian and Old Skool.

You can shed tears that he is gone or you can smile because he has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he's gone or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your backor you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Wish comfort to his family and friends...

Rest in peace Brian and enjoy riding those golden streets with Steve. Prayers to Thelma, Zach, Rhonda, and Noah for peace and comfort. And may we all strive to acheive to be the type of person Brian was Honest, Loving, Caring, Fun and above all, Humble. Who showed his Christianity by living a life of example in all areas of it.
