Has anyone had their Progressive 416 air shocks "rebuilt" by progressive?  If so, how much and satisfied?  Also, anyone got a pair of still good IS shocks on the shelf they'd consider selling?

Sorry this reply is delayed!

I sent back a pair of Progressive 416's and they wanted an ungodly price to rebuild so I told them to point them to the rubbish bin.  I replaced with Progressive HD 440s  but not the air shocks.

I just rebuilt a set I bought off the classified. Did it myself. Put them on my Tourer (halfbreed) and so far love the ride of these. I ordered the seals from progressive and wasn't hard to rebuild. I had 440's on it and took these off and put the 416's on. They ride better than the 440's. Don't know how well they are going to hold up. Only time will tell.

How do you know if they need rebuilt? Do they loose air or are there other symptoms to look for? I let some air out of them and could swear some oil came out with the air. What air pressure do you run? PO had them aired up to 75#. First time I've had air shocks on a bike. They're Progressive, just assuming 416's. How much were the seals?

I wanting to say the seals are around $15.00 dollars for both shocks. I'm running around 30 lbs solo and around 65 two up. Not suppose to use more than 70 lbs as per Progressive website.
