The subject of the meeting was whether or not to buy a new chandelier for the sergeant’s mess hall.  Some officers wanted to vote on it.  But one holdout opted for prudence.  “Before we spend money on a chandelier,” he said, “shouldn’t we find out if anyone can play the thing?”

Sorry about that Gunny, but it was printed in the book and published.

I did not delete or modify any of them.

I just typed what was printed.

Some of them I agree with you are far fetched, but who am I to judge them.
