Adjustable Clutch and Frt Brake Levers

Who makes them for the Valkyrie. The stock levers are too far away for my hands, especially when I wear gloves. My GW has adjustables and they are great. How Bout it?

I use the GW ones.  All you need to do to make them fit is grind off a small tab on the clutch lever, then they fit perfect!  I have them on both my Valks, and love them.

Outstanding !!  My GW levers are black and assuming yours are too, how do they look mounted on the magnesium perch?

Most folks buy Kuryakin chrome GoldWing levers for the Valk. The same tab is cut off and they work on the Valk. That way you get wide blade chrome levers.

The Kurakyn adjustable clutch side works well.for me. The brake side maybe, maybe not. I had trouble getting the brake light to work as it should. It would light when the brake lever is depressed but would not  turn off without jiggling the lever. I fiddled with it until I lost patience and took it off.
I think it's important for the brake light to work reliably. If you're in traffic and forget to jiggle the lever, the light stays on and therefore can't indicate when you've hit your brakes. I can't see becoming a hood ornament due to a self imposed problem.
Besides, I have enough to remember to cancel the turn signal.

I have the Kuri adjustable GL1800 levers on my 99 I/S and have the same problem. After using the front brake I automatically flip it foreword with a finger to make sure the lights are off. This will become much more important this year as I'm installing at least 3 brake light systems and the Audiovox cruise control clone, which cuts off with the brake lights.

I'm going to try tightening the brake cable tension (hydraulics?) and various different lubes for the bushing in the brake lever; and if that doesn't work I'll build up the tab that pushes the brake light cancel button on the housing with nail polish to see if that will give me some kind of reliable lamp-killing action.

I love these levers (I have no idea who's hands they designed the stock levers for, possibly some NBA superstar) and don't really want to go back to the stock brake lever unless I absolutely have to. Too far a reach for a panic situation.

I bought some off US eBay, they were about $20 for the pair, the chrome is good, they are comfortable and adjust easily and you don't have to modify them in any way. YMMV but I am happy with them

I had/have the issue of brake light staying on as well.

I have a 99 I/S with stock levers though, it turns out that the issue is the electrical switch was starting to wear a tad. I put a small washer on the lever pad and it works perfectly now.

I plan on switching to adjustable levers soon myself, so I figure at that time I will either replace the switch or "enhance" the thickness on teh brake lever tab again.

The adj. GW levers I have are chrome, and they are wider than OEM.  By quite a bit.  I have had no problem with the brake switch.  Seems to be more problem with the Kuryaken.

I've got the adjustable Kurys also and have not had a problem with them.

ChrisJ357 has the non adjustable Kurys on his Valk and when we compared them we discovered the the non adjustables are at the same distance as the adjustables on their closest setting.

The reason you have to push the lever forward to get the brake light to shut off is because the lever is binding in the holder. Take the lever off and file the boss on the bottom of the lever. Just put these on my wifes trike and that is what I found. Once I filed some of the boss down it works perfect. This is not uncommon on any Kuryakyn product I have put on a bike. Seems like I always have to do something to make it fit right.
