What's the deal?! This is the third one that has come up for sale in past week or so. And these prices are really bursting my bubble about being able to get a premium price just because of the color scheme. Prices seem to be in-line with other I/S's that are on the market. I thought these things are supposed to be rare! </rant> Anyways, this looks about as close to a bone stock, brand new I/S as your gonna get. Low miles and not many options (other than a tank bib and *maybe* the seat? What's that chrome looking do-hickey near the seat strap?). Sure will make a nice bike for whoever gets it!

Good looking bike, that bar you are seeing is the drivers backrest support, it also has a CB. I wish I could give it a new home.

bone stock? don't know of very many IS that came with a "stock" CB?? i think the price it good, although it's at a stealer, anyone that doesn't haggle is going to pay too much. i'd offer him $7800 cash, i bet it would sell easily at that. well worth the money even at $8500.

Net wide memory jog. This here old fart last year got my gorgeous green and silver i/s at a used car stealer. First thing the salesman said was-i ain't a m/c dlr. Heres the memory jog-listed at $7200-threw $5800 on the counter and drove er home. To say i'm happy is an understatement in the extreme. RIDE SAFE.

Seems like a good deal even at the asking price. Wonder if its been wrecked and/or there are other "issues"? (In the last few weeks on Ebay, three I/S's have sold for over $9,000 and they all have higher mileage.. up to 21K)

I did! Holy crap. I purchase a 2001 Valkyrie I/S today and I sign up for this Valk forum and I see a thread about the same bike I just purchased.
This bike is immaculate. Not a scratch. It had one owner, a woman who is an engineer at GM. She traded in the bike and an Escalade to this GM dealer for a brand new Camaro convertible. I don't think this thing's been on a long trip in it's lifetime.

I will post pictures when I get home from work tomorrow. I paid $8500 for it. The salesman said I was the first to call on it and put a deposit down to hold it, but right after, he had a flood of calls wanting to be put on a list in case I didn't buy it.

Ok so I figured out how to add a picture to my profile, but not sure about adding one to a post like this. I'm new at this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
