LOL!  When you're committed you're committed.  You don't shut down in the middle of a curve just because you see the law.    uglystupid2

You think he got the ticket anyway?

Took the snake by the neck (do snakes have necks?!?) many years ago, on a CB750F, punched out. Man, what a ride back then. Not sure if it's as "rough" as it was way back then. as it was well-known by some, but not by a lot. The Internet I'm sure, has brought bigger crowds. We used to have a couple "spotters" with CB radios, that would let us know when it was clear, and you could really take advantage of both lanes. Not for the weak-bladdered!

There was a road up around Portland Oregon, that was really twisted and curvy, and rather steep. It also had a lot of trees lining the sides, so was a little daring to ride too fast, because of the possibility of crap on the road, as well as being mostly blind. Again, with the CB's...anyone from Oregon area know what that road might be? It was pretty well known, as well.

If you get the chance to do Mulholland, do it - you'll be glad you did. I'm sure it's a lot better patrolled and safer than it used to be, but hopefully still as much fun.

Going over the mountains on the old highway, from San Diego to El Centro, is another pretty nice cruise. Not much in the way of switch-backs, but nice for a long string of scoots. Or, Escondido to Ramona, on a nice day...

LOL...I was watching the first video, thinking man them guys are brave because I know them California cops dont take kindly at all to that kind of riding.  Then the last video says it all.  I used to ride that road on my 10 speed (bicycle) all the time.  It was quite a rush on a bicycle, I know I would have run it on a motorcycle if I was old enough when I lived there.

With all that crap going on it's a road I would keep well away from.

Rode it many many times in the Cruiser and also on the motor.     It was my assigned area for about 6 months.    It has more Crotch Rocket usage now than back then.     Had a Harley almost take out the front of my cruiser once in a curve, he was about 3/4 of the way into my lane.   Took the shoulder and then watched him crash, kind of like the video but I had to look in my rear view mirror.

Drove it several times in a car while out there on business. Wish I would have had a bike. Sad

It was always very busy, so it probably would not have been as much fun as it seemed.

Yes.  It's BEEN heavily patrolled for years because in California that was
the cooooolest road to show that you were really a biker . . .   not a piker!

I personally never rode Mullholland faster than the posted speed back in th 60's  Roll Eyes
