Don had 2 Valkyries.

He rode my KLR for a few miles and got the dirt bug. Sold his Valkyrie and now has a KLR, DRZ 400 and a Royal Enfield that will pull a ton.

Don't buy a KLR get a DRZ400 or DR650. Lighter than the KLR. UNLESS you want to do blacktop miles on a regular basis.

AND spend money on upgraded suspension fore and sft. Makes a capable bike into an inspiring bike.

Both Don and I will confirm that.

All you guys with high mileage Valks should consider ahvign your front suspension stripped and new springs, bushings etc.
A new set of rear shocks will then make the bike feel brand new again. The suspension degrades over slowly over time so that you don't notice it until you do the suspension work.

How many of you have your bike set up with the correct sag? I'll wager not many.

Steamer.....you must have blinked and missed the wheelies!!!! Wink

No....at my age I try to keep the wheels within a few inches of and parallel to the ground!

Saw your thread..........the Valk is looking GOOD!
