The Valk has shown 130+ but they tell me that Valks are off on mph "reads faster than you are really going" here's a shot that was snapped at somewhere around 120+ on the senic highway .

LOL yea more stable then you would think...but thing is when you glance down and see your speedo creeping past 130 ..you say " WHAT THE H@#L am I doing ,this is crazy" But still kinda cool to watch all your vtwin buddies getting smaller in your rearveiw mirror.

When mine was stock I had it up to 130, 135 area a couple of times. Max speed depended on which way the wind was blowing it seemed. At any rate, after I changed over and put the supercharger on I took it off the dial once. Hey, I had to know.. anyway, it had no bad manners at speed. Pretty stable.

If the rememberer is still working, I think Dragbars had his to 165 at Bonneville. Believe that was with a lightweight rider. Now if you want real speed step up to a ZX14 or Hayabusa. Had my ZX to 180 a couple of times and it was still pulling hard. Valk John has done the same with his Busa. Dont take long to get there either. Stock Valk is good to 130-135 which is awesome for its size and weight.

Had the fat a$$ed i/s to like 133-134 indicated. To me at least she seemed to get a lot smoother past 100 than i had any right to expect. And yes all the equipment was on it-bags fairing trunk. Like some others on this board-i absolutely enjoy givin my h/d buds 4377 on the top end and take off. Some of them still haven't learned NOT to roll on with me yet. RIDE SAFE.

Question:
Was that 130-135 indicated mph with or without a windshield?
I saw 135 once without a w/s, but since installing my Nat'l Cycle Switchblade "Chopped" w/s, I have experenced some weird buffeting around 125. I got skeered and got out of it.
Note: One of the cruiser magazines published a top speed of 114mph (I think it'll do that in 4th gear).

2002 Standard with Honda windshield, fully loaded saddlebags and tall T-bag, I tested to 137 indicated. I think she may have been good for an indicated 140, but I ended the test at 137. Handled fine, very stable, Avon Cobras front and rear. Redline

Passing several vehicles last summer in Saskatchewan, looked down to see indicated 133-135 and still pulling. 99 I/S.
On a side note; while looking for rubber grommets when changing the windshield, I couldn't read the speedo around 60, let alone 100+. Fred.

124mph on GPS....just over 130 indicated.....was on a long downhill straightaway with a right hand curve at the bottom.....had just passed two hardleys and was on my way home from one of the VRCC rides.....was loaded heavy....front tire near the end of it's life.....got into a high speed wobble....the bars would have hit the tank if I hadn't been holding onto them so tightly....the bike was shaking so violently side to side that I thought I was going to end up on the side and slide through the median...took all my strength to keep the bars out of the tank....I got OFF the throttle...and on the back brake just a little.....and got my butt up off the seat.....bled the speed down and got her back under control......it SHOULD have scared the bejesus out of me, but I kept on motoring right along....
I think that at that speed on an I/S that the front end starts to lift up and get light....was also running just ahead of a storm and the wind was blowing a little bit through the valley.....
Have had it to 100-115mph many times....the first day I bought it, I was running down I-75 South and on remembered that someone told me to drop her into 4th and twist the wick....I shifted into 5th at about 105 on the speedo.....Sweeeetttttt....... cooldude cooldude cooldude

Had my I/S up to 125 indicated on the Indian Bridge over the Red River, playing with a couple of crotch rockets. Had a similar experience to Stanley - front end started to wobble and felt like a tank slapper was on the way. Cut the throttle and it calmed back down, fortunately this was a straight run so had plenty of time to bleed down speed without braking. That is as fast as I will ever go. Good thing I had my brown pants on that day.

110 mph is my fastest on my Valk (99 Standard, with windshield) I forget what the RPM said, but I remember it was nowhere near red lining. It was also as smooth as silk; no lifting or wobbling at all. This was also when I weighed a hefty 400+ AND my wife was on. So, ‘two up’ and she had plenty left.
During my 2nd summer riding her (at 11k) I ripped the drain plug off and tore off a bunch of metal up on the bottom of the motor when I hit a chunk of cement on the road. I kept the bike up though, so no other damage occurred. The insurance company replaced the whole ‘bottom half’ of the motor. A Honda rep flew in to look over the bike and talk to me. The Honda shop had my bike for 3 stinking months. The final bill came to $4500.00 (Just FYI.) Now here’s the point of the story; I don’t know what all they did at the shop during those 3 months, but I’ve ridden with probably around 50 or maybe 60 different Valks (Not all that many, I know) and I have only been with one that I couldn’t pull away from (A guy who is a well known Valk mechanic and has a crazy fast Valk, left me and about 10 other Valks in the dust one fall. I was impressed.) I would also commonly pull up to crotch rockets and blow them away street light to street light. In short; my Valk was extremely fast before the ‘surgery’ but I noticed, as did my riding buddies, a big difference afterwards. Just merely changing the ‘bottom end’ shouldn’t make that type of impact, should it? I’m sure they retuned & adjusted everything, but still?
This posting IS NOT meant as a challenge to anyone! (LOL) I’m just saying my Valk is really quick AND it’s quick with a real big fat guy and his XXX lbs wife (over 500 pounds total) sitting on it. And, that’s with loaded saddlebags. I’ve always wanted to Dyno it – just for fun – but never had the opportunity.
So, I don’t know what a Valk can really do as far as top end speed, but I’m thinking 130 mph everyone is saying would be doable for most any Valkyrie.
