i had my starter solenoid replaced a couple of yrs ago and because the top melted the honda dealer put female end onto the three wires that go to the top of it well thats part of it Embarrassed  then last season on occation after riding  my bike,it would not start ,then at some time latter it would start again  ???,, well i went  for a short ride yesterday and stoped at a friends house when i went to leave the bike wouldnt start  tickedoff well last season a guy showed me how to jump it at the solenoid so i did and got it startedon the short ride home it seemed my nutural indicator was acting up ,well when i got it home i t still wouldnt start in the normal fashon so i started checkin fuses and such well i pumped the solenoid and those 3 wirws in the top of it came unattached ,i tried to put them back on and well the chit got worse i started blowing the 30amp fuse in the top of the solenoidso i can only assume i put them on wrong and worsened my problem well now i get nothing at allzero zip all the fuses under the right cover are ok except the onein the top of the solenoid Embarrassed,well if any of u gentel men can help me  where to look  to correct the prob,i do have a friend who in the past was  a honda motorcycle mech,but hasnt worked on any thing like this i know i need to get parts and the manual to help him fix this issue but  any tips advise and knowledgeu share in this matter would be so very much appreciated,im unemployed and cant afford to take it to Honda and also if any of u have had that problem where after riding for a while and then the bike wont start  do you know what causes that ,also if any of u know whaat those 3 wires  in the top of the solenoid are for please help so my friend and i may be ablr to fix my baby ,thanks guys

Can't help you with the crossed wires but that should get you started.

Do a search for solenoid, and look for the posts by RJ, he has the pictures of the replacement connector you  need. Between the manual and this part, you should be able to fix the broken wires properly this time.

Still might have the other problem with the starter switch.

Since the solenoid was in bad shape, you may have been getting intermitent contact and losing it when the bike and solenoid warmed up. A replacemant solenoid may be all you need. Check out this page on the Rattlebars web site:
