Not much ride to work for me yet this year. Maybe 5 days. Lots of icy patches here that just don't go away.

Ya'll keep riding for me until those Texan's let some heat come north to Kansas.

Note to self. I need to find a way to redo this 50 hour week so that my longest days aren't Monday followed by the week that is Tuesday. I wish I had a longer ride home today, or a nap. I'm not picky.

I don't even know why I tune in in the mornings. Today they were talking about light rain as I'm looking out my window at a down pour. Oh well. I rode anyway. The temps were hovering around 38 or 40. I don't think it has warmed up since then, but it hasn't cooled off either. I'm still hoping the wintry mess will just be rain around here. I should have slept later and not come in to work so early. I was there before I needed to be. I need to break myself of that habit. Maybe if I took a longer drive in I would get there closer to the right time.

Commute to work, work to commute.

I had a hard choice last night, I drove to work, rode to the YMCA (1mile) workout and then arrive home. The hard choice was due to the temps of 47 degrees. The bike was VERY dirty and I had the weather to wash it or go for a ride.

Well it was a choice I don't often make, I washed it for alomst an hour. It , they usually sit dirty after I ride one of them.

Oh yes, I rode to work today on a spotlessly clean bike and so far none of my coworker-riders here has noticed how clean it today...should have went for the ride last night.

You guys are killing me, another 6 -10 inches tonight. Yes I'm jealous. First year in a long time I haven't ridden at least once in January. Secretly I'm glad somebody can get out. It's so bad I've actually used the cross country skis twice. Maybe I can hook them up to the scooter.... Jonesin' bad!

Sorry to hear that Karen. Just for you I'll ride the long way home from work tonight.

Oh yea, near or at record highs tomorrow, we might hit 70. Bad news is back to the deep freeze by Sunday.

This morning started rough, but the ride in was nice. I need to make sure that at some point I enjoy a nice supper. Sometime. It is not quite 9 yet so I cannot leave. Should be a nice drizzly ride in.

At 9:00 last night I was shutting down the writing center and locking up the doors. I called my wife from my cell and walked out of the building where I was met with rain. As I stood in the doorway talking to my wife I realized that the rain was pinging on the concrete. Sleet. Great. 9:00 and 30 miles in the rainy sleet mix at 45 mph. I slowed down on the bridges but the roadway was fine. Today promises more rain and less sleet. I'll leave for work soon.

This morning I had to have a package at the post office to overnight it, so I headed out to work early. With nothing else to do in my small town at 9:00 in the morning, I walked around Walmart then took a ride for an hour or so. Not the warmest day, but the sun was shining and the sky was clear.
Rode to the first campus, did my job, and then took a short ride to the second campus. I'll be here until 9:00 when my wife and I will finally eat supper.  Then ride home.
Not a bad day overall.

Today might make it to 40 degrees if it tries, but the sun is shining and it is time for me to leave work and ride for a little bit.

70 today? Okay. I'll ride a motorcycle.

I'm still convinced we have one more snow left for the season. Probably during the first of March we'll be hammered again with the white stuff, but at the moment the sun is shining and the weather is warm. It is supposed to be 70 today.  Crazy, but I'll take it.

Ride to work, work to ride.

I am still not convinced that this is spring. However, today is suppsoed to be 70. I won't be riding during that part of the day. This morning was mid 40. By the time I leave here at 9:00 tonight it will probably be in the 40s again. Although that is still decent riding weather. The sky looks clear and blue. Now, I need to stop looking out my window, dreaming of riding, and get back to work.

I rode today and yesterday too.

I gotta change my oil this afternoon, and then take leave on Friday so I can ride the rest of
the tread off this rear tire and change it on Saturday... hope all that comes to pass...

I managed to ride to work yesterday and today.

Today I realized I am getting old - used to be my ride criteria was "As long as it was above 0C/32F I am on the bike" - Now it is "OK if it is going to be dry at teh start or end of my day and will hit at least 45 I will ride".

(not so fond memories of snowing coming of my GL1000's running boards riding the DVP in Toronto)

I charge my phone in my car. That works so well for me that I never even hardly think of charging it at
home.

I've ridden to work all three days so far this week and my phone just pooped out on me  Smiley

Thursday, 88 miles, 55 degrees sunshine I need it BAD!
Friday, 70 miles, 60 degrees when the sun came out. Nice to stir the fluids and run a bottle of
"Techron" through the gas tank and put a fresh tankful in.
I did an unintentional baby burnout on some road salt at a stop sign. Good thing no one was behind me, the Cooper rear through up a lot of debris.

Temps will be nearly 80 today in NC. It was nearly 50 when I rode in. I'm stuck in a dark office at the moment.  The ride in was so good that I was surprised when I had a text from PA saying the college was closed due to the weather. Must be the same system wailing in Ohio and other parts of the country. I may have to ride out to supper in a little bit.

Last week I was on Spring Break and did a little riding, but didn't ride to work. Today, I jumped out of bed to a brisk 31 degrees and headed back to work. It feels good to be back at work. Despite sitting at home I was able to get very little done last week. When I remove the pressures of my job I just seem to slow down to a crawl. Sure, my hand was bummed from a wreck, but I could have done something last week!

I tried to write a little bit.

I did take a few short rides which my hand didn't mind to much as it healed.

I did a little laundry.

I did put new tires on my '60 Ford F100 so I could take it to the paint shop, only to find out the carb sprung a new leak, so now the carb is off for rebuilding before I can move forward. One step forward and two steps back.

I watched a little TV.

Now, I'm back at work and hope I can cram some productivity in around the job.

Commute to ride, ride to commute.

My hand is getting better Mike. My pinky won't bend yet,but it is starting to flex. Bending is on the way.

Last week I didn't ride and it was 60 degrees. The past two commutes to work have been 31. It is currently nice and pretty outside while I am working in my office. Tonight it will be cold and wet when I leave. Oh well. At least I have a job to which I can commute.

This morning's commute was cold and wet. It felt more like a Spring ride around here. The 60 degree sunshine last week just didn't feel as Spring like as a nice sunny cool rain.

Commute to ride, ride to commute.

It was another good day of riding in. Upper 40s but doable. I rode to work, had a good morning. Then I rode to my afternoon shift. It is going well so far. This is going to be a good day.
It is currently a little after 2:00. Only about 7 hours left to work today.
