I have Kuryakyn hiway pegs on my Valk and I am now wanting to replace the stock rider's pegs with something that matches (looks like) my hiway pegs. Anyone have experience with this? i.e., what Kuryakyn part number and whether or not I need special adapters or anything to make it all fit? TIA!

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Kury makes ISO wings for the HD's but not sure about the valks. Not as roomy as a cobra floor board but does match your hiway pegs. If they make them for the valk there simple to apply.

Kury makes the ISO Wings and/or the ISO pegs for the Valkyrie to be used in place of the standard pegs. It would be your choice of what you like. However, before you can make the conversion you must purchase the Kury peg adaptors which will allow you to use either. I have the ISO pegs and adaptors and the ISO Wings on my crash bars. Very comfortable.

I had changed from the Standard pegs to the Kuryakyn Dually ISO pegs. Although they do look much better, they don't offer any additional support or comfort in my opinion. I now have a set of the Cobra full floor boards on order. I had those on the 98 Suzuki Intruder I had and always liked them. Just my opinion.

I had the dually pegs, and then went to the Cobra boards with a kickshifter. Much nicer and more comfortable, and recently added these.

My Valk had Kury mini highway boards when I bought it and I wanted things to match. I changed the driver and passenger pegs to Dually ISOs. It was easy to do & looks great. I have a 33" inseam so I also added a peg lowering kit. I gained some leg room, but it's easy to put the pegs on the ground. Kury stuff is pricey, so I drilled and tapped those new driver pegs and put acorn nuts on them. Better scuffing an acorn nut than that Kury chrome! Good Luck!

They are covers, got them from Dennis Kirk. They are mounted on top of the Cobra floorboards, I peeled the rubbers off and shaped the Cobras to fit, drilled for the mount holes and they came out pretty good. I think these were originally for the VTX. Dennis Kirk has some good flamed stuff esp in their Harley collection. I just installed flamed shifter pegs on the kickshifter, flamed large brake pedal, and flamed driver pegs. Am about flamed out.

How hard were the mods to do to make the brake and floorboards fit and which Cobra floorboards did you start with, the classic or the swept design.

I had the classic boards, but either would work if you dont mind cutting them up a little. I have a metal bandsaw, a 14 in chopsaw, various air and electric cutter grinders, and a drillpress so choping things up isnt a problem. For the brake I took off the Kury cover and drilled the pedal to mount the flamer, nothing very hard in any of it except measure several times and mark before cutting or drilling. Ill post some pics if it stops raining long enough to take some.

Since you like flames so much....check out this site. http://gg-designs.com/I bought a chrome one and a blue one. I like the chrome one better. Here are the new mirrors I put on mine as well. The only problem with them is they have VERY sharp edges at the tips of the flames.
