Big brother is indeed watching. Got to put groping in there also. Could anyone hide a weapon in their crotch big enough to do real and serious damage? Also remembering that a determined person can probably skirt the best check in process we can devise?? I don't pretend to know the answers. I also know i don't fly as much as i used to. I guess we are looking for a middle ground. I also realize that godless terriosts are not above using children in their schemes to kill people. I also know a line has to be drawn some where to protect personal privacy. I also know that the times they are achangin. I also know that there is an awful lot i don't know. Now if big brother would admit that there is an awful lot that they don't know-well it would be a start. Yeah-fat chance of that happening. RIDE SAFE.

Sadly, our state legislature backed down on this...

Here's my beef... For someone willing to die, with good resources behind them, it wouldn't take much to have a few organs surgically removed and explosives surgically implanted inside their body. (And don't yell at me for giving "them" ideas, this idea has been bandied about for years.)

And... all the groping in the world won't detect that.

So.... We're going through all this just for security theater, really...

My crazy idea, allow the airlines to choose. Have the 8:30 flight full body cavity search with all out groping and pawing, and the 8:45 server is a simple metal detector like in the old days, then let the open market decide which the flying public prefer.

(My REALLY crazy idea is every passenger is handed a handgun with a single round of ammo in it as they board the plane. That way any loony could take out one person before they themselves were taken out.)
