Just order the parts from

http://www.directlineparts.com/

The rear case is under $180.  The only part I had trouble with is the one bearing that has the wrong part number in the fiche.  I never did find the right bearing and just cut out the old one from the broken case and re-used it.  Order dowels as well for both the clutch cover and the rear case.  You might lose one or one might not come out.

Here was my initial order:

I then ordered the two bearings in the case separately.  The smaller one has the bad part number!

My center cover was broke so I ordered that at the same time.  I ordered this from Amazon and it worked perfectly for the output shaft nut:

Good luck and take your time.

Have nothing but time, LOL the Girlfriend decided to kick me out so the money I had set aside for fixing the bike had to go into moving. Have plenty of OT lined up in the near future though so I'll be able to start ordering parts soon, just sucks seeing my pride and joy sitting all alone in the garage waiting. Also what fuel filters are you guys using with the Pingle petcocks?  Decided to get that posibility out of the way ASAP.

Mine hydrolocked a couple years ago, broke some teeth off the starter and idler gears. I think all the parts were maybe $150, and it took me three weekends to repair mostly because of making or locating the three sockets I needed that I did not have.

I think the fear of hydrolock may be overstated, but it is a good thing to be aware of-especially if you smell gas before starting.

There is a whole of info on this fuel-lock subject thats been posted over the years.. As far as filters are concerned,, I use a plain ole filter readily purchased at any fuel filter store.. Wink  .. Some say they have had flow problems,, I haven't..  I still believe that the Pingle and filter are the best remedy to try and eliminate the fuel-lock..
