I know there was once a post on the various Hoppy trailer converters but I can't find that thing anywhere.
What's the best Hoppy trailer converter for an LED lighted trailer?
For a non-LED?
Powered and unpowered options.

Thank you!

Search on the Home page for Hoppy trailer, you'll get lots of hist like this;

The company is actually Hopnel. There are two, one makes trailer electronics, one makes bike accessories.

Uhhhmm...no. The company is actually Hopkins. Hopnel makes great tank bibs.

I had the Hoppy 46255 version, with LED taillights. It lasted all of 2 hours! When I called Hopkins, I was informed that they are having problems with that converter, with LED's, and he sent me the 46365, which is called "short proof". Seems there's something fishy with the other converter, that just doesn't play nicely with the LED's. He couldn't tell me why, just that they've seen quite a few of them go south. He knew right off that I had LED's, even before I told him. I guess quite a few motorcyclists are going with LED tailights, I assume to cut down on current draw. Of course, the 46365 is a bit more expensive! You definitely want the power converter, as it uses the battery for it's power, not the existing wiring. Basically the same as putting relays in for all the lights. I haven't had any problems at all, since changing over to the 46365.

Here's the link to the 46365:

Good luck - you'll love it!

I used a no name 3 - 2 wire converter, unpowered.  Works fine, but I did replace the turn signal relay to keep the flash rate even.
