Took a ride to the "local" Harbor Fright (dangerous place) to get a grinding wheel for the chainsaw grinder, lo and behold they had 3 types of MC lifts there. There was a air over for 80 bucks, and a hyd only for about 70 that looked like the air over without the air,  then there was another hyd only for 75.

I The 75.00 one was wider and had stabilizers on it, sooooooo

it came home with me. I looked at a Larin at Tractor Supply with the 3 stops, and didnt get a warm fuzzy feeeling @ 109.00, this one seemed better built for the $. The air over would be nice, but the general lift seemed a bit cheezy.

Best part was that the clerk scanned the sale paper that I didnt know was there and I walked out with the jack and grinding wheel for 70.17.

Now to dig out the channel iron I have, the 40 year old welder genset, my welding talent (as a welder I am a good grinder operator), and the specs for the Valk adapter and burn some rods.

Hey Mr. Varmintmist

I made one of those cycle adapters for about $12, and got the jack from a friend’s neighbor that was throwing it away ‘cause his son left it outside and the jack cylinder got rusted!!  I followed the instructions that are posted on VRCC’s web page.  I’ve got to tell you it worked out great, excellent tool for detailing the cycle!!

Ever since I saw the pix of the adapter, 5' of the 1"x3" in channel I have has had a home. It shouldnt cost me more than a rod or 2 if I have to grind.  Grin

I use that jack and this lift adapter that stays on the Valk,  I got from EBay.... sold that other heavy one that you have put on and take off (what a pain in the arse that was).  Works well.... regardless where you are at, it is already on the bike.....
