one of those ugly goldwings 1800 .. not crazy over the looks but when you hit 2nd gear you forget all about what it looks like man , there just a awesome bike does everything better then any other bike out there . power, brakes, handling, on and on really if your looking for a bike ride one and report back thats all i got to say . but my valkyrie just turned 90k anit broke in yet ..

I had a Smart Car. Incredible room inside for driver and passenger, and you could actually buy a lot of groceries and pack 'em in the back. But 36-38mpg on premium gas, that balky transmission, no passing power - it just wasn't worth the hassle and small with no power meant you could not get out of the way. Got rid of it after a year. It did draw the crowds, though.
If they ever get really "smart" and put a true manual transmission in one and make it a diesel, I might go back.
I saw some custom car tv show where they put a Hayabusa engine in a Smartcar. Now that was impressive! As to the original question, I'd probably go 1800 Wing, although I'd be real torn between that and a Concourse 14 or possibly even a Spyder. I'd love to take one of those for a ride sometime, but I don't know that I'd want that to totally replace a 2-wheeler.

I would consider an 1800 GW of the 08-11 variety. The BMW would be next and probably a ST1300. The meer thought of not having Valks available is why I have two, would have three if I could afford it right now, that's how much I like them.

If you are riding and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Maybe a Rocket, but I think I would look for a used Wing. I have my V-Strom for short trips and use the Valk when I'm riding two-up or on a trip. and the Wing would work great for those two. .jpg) Mongo- Where did you get that Rocket info from?

Since I have an Interstate now and want the full-tour features, I would be looking for a deal on a GL1800 or a BMW K1200LT. But if I had a standard, I would be looking to replace it with a Triumph Rocket III. Any of those three might be my next bike!

dont need to buy another since i already have the bike. .jpg) . it is plenty fast since it is an 1800 and has proven itself to be reliable to date. all i am waiting on is for the wife to say its ok to buy the hard bags from tsukayu and get them painted to match. only thing is its not as smooth as the valk although is comfortable for long trips.

i would just wait till I can get a used bmw 1600 for 10 grand
It is head and shoulders about the k1200lt, sits lower faster etc
My 1150rtp is a great commuter bike, The Valk rarely comes to the Bronx anymore but is ridden every weekend and all trips.
Valk will never be sold, I will just start buyin spare parts is all

I would have started selling stuff until I had the dough for one of those... Of course, I'd be tempted to do the same for a Rocket III RS.
