Lifes too short Ride it hard

Grand Rapids Mi.

« on: June 26, 2011, 06:08:37 PM »

Saturday it was just beuatiful, So we took off for a ride to New Era. It was going to be a day of Quilt shops, but that's all good, it gets us both on the bike and merges my love for riding and her love for quilting. All in all we did about 200 miles, found another interesting place for lunch.
Sunday was my day just to ride (Joanie works every Sunday). I took off around Noon, and headed nowhere special. Rode for about an hour and found a spot along the Roque River that was nicely shade, and decided it would be a nice spot to stop for a drink. After chatting with a couple that were kayaking down the river I was back on my way.

I ran across a neat park that was built around the Depot and the railroad that built the town. (I am fasinated with old Depots) This depot one of the local miniture train groups have been trying to rehab, but it has come across some vandals. It's a shame.

Finally ended by another neat tressel over a creek.

The ol' girl sure is running and looking good with the new Interstate bags and the new exhaust tips from Grunpy

Great ride... I'm envious.  Too bad about the hoodlums... Hope they get to do the project... looks like a neat depot and lot's of potential...

Scoot,
Good job on your Valk, It looks fantastic. Great Photo's...I love it when folks post pics from their rides. I know it's a little time consuming, but it's worth it and we get to see some of great scenery in your neck of the woods.
Thanks for sharing cooldude
