I reeeeeally like the Black & Silver that was offered on the standard and tourers (don't remember what year(s)).

However, mine is a Red & White....really not my favorite color.  It's going to get a make-over this summer with a Woody's fairing, hard bags and a trunk (got all the parts already for the install.....just need the time).  It's also going to get a color change to a fast black Valk by the time the weather turns cooler too.

I wouldn't bet against black as being the "most favorite" color among all Valk owners.

Most popular? I see mostly red and white ones around here. My favorite? Black and silver.

If I had a second set of tins, I'd start with black donor pieces and then probably go non-stock.   Evil   I might use stock layouts.  I might not.  But I'd almost definitely use non-stock colors.  I'd hate to scuff and paint over any non-black oem colors unless it was a restoration.

1- Dark red/ Ivory
2- Blue/ Silver
2a- Green/ Silver
3- Red/ Black
3a- Silver/ Black

The Red/ White of 1997 is not my favorite. As soon as I can a nice simple Burgandy solid with more red, not as dark as the Valk "Dark Red" will take the place of the R/W on my '97. Maybe with some tasteful gold pinstriping too. FSU Seminole colors!  cooldude
The paint pattern on the fuel tanks does not look all that good to me in Red/White but looks good in other colors. Some of my Harley riding buds call it the "ice cream truck" look & I can see what they are saying... A very fast ice cream truck though!  Grin

BTW, awesome look FLA VALK!!! Love that Burgandy & Cream.  cooldude

Wikipedia states ....

Black can be seen as the color of authority and seriousness.
Silver, because of it's contrast between the appearance of its bright white color to other media makes it very useful to the visual arts.

I like my Blue and White (racing stripes).

I don't like my Green and (silver?) IS too much.  I don't think it's silver either BTW...

I'd like to paint the IS the stock green color, with a middle white racing stripe.  Sort of stock colors in a stock pattern, but in a combination that is not stock.

But... I always have bigger fish to fry...  I I always want to RIDE it.

What does a paint job cost anyway?
