As a kid I always enjoyed Red Skelton but I've never seen this. It makes me miss him even more.

I remember when Red did that for the first time. I'm still 100% for the meaning and all the words.

The Pledge is to our country.  It remains the best.

The Pledge is not to self serving government.

I hope that this posting (thanks for posting) remains with no 'new interpretations' on responses.

just give it time, the usual chin musicians will tear it apart.
A real shame that happens. I sincerely hope I'm wrong on that.
Saying the pledge and hearing the national anthem always give me goose bumps.

He didnt know how prophetic he was.Someone said if there is a God,how could he let something happen at columbine school.God says you dont allow me in schools any more.535 elected bozos need to hear this of Mr Skelton's presentation.Especially in the whithouse.

Of course, Mr. Skelton's excellent speech with a side note reference to God has to lead to religious/political posts like this one.  This impassioned speech was a reminder to children about what dedication to ideals is about, and not a religious or political message.
