A friend of mine responded to a newspaper ad for a free GL1500. I don't have the text for the newspaper ad, but I'm sure you can imagine it was brief, did not include pictures but did include an email address. Here is the response he received.....
Thanks for your interest, The bike is still available and its not for sale am only giving it out like i said on the newspaper. I am currently located at Boston, MA. I have already asked movers to bring the Bike here from my grand-son's house in Springfield, IL and was going to put up a new ad here in Boston, MA. But my wife Advised me to put up the ad on a Newspaper outside Boston as she doesn't want to see the bike anymore cos of the memory of his Grandson.
I bought the Motorcycle for my grandson as his birthday gift last year September. Its HONDA 1988 GL1500 . It is two months now since he died and I would like for it to be passed out and seeing the bike always brings back it memory and it makes me cry, as the house will be emptied soon and I myself will be relocating to Winnipeg, Canada where I shall stay with other family members for care. If you are able to afford the delivery charges I can coordinate the movers to return the bike to you where-ever you are located as I only gave them the instruction yesterday evening, and I'm sure they will request for fees in turn.
Please let me know your position (your full names and delivery address) maybe I can contact the movers. I have attached a photo of it. This was taken two weeks ago and still in a very good and excellent position..
Mrs Green He was almost considering it, even after I pointed out the issue of him/her/wife etc... and also the fees related to "delivery". I then Googled "Free Goldwing GL1500" and a very similar post was addressed on the HD Forums (exact wording except different locations). I will include the link to the HD Forums post for your reading pleasure as well.....
http://www.hdforums.com/forum/off-topic/613345-free-goldwing.htmlBe Careful out there..... they want your hard earned money and are getting crafty. My advise, don't buy unless you can confirm it is what it is, where it is, in the condition they said it is,..... and even then I'd like to go see and touch it.
Edit.... and I bet this is the same bike and scam....
