I need to vent a little to the motorcycle family. My Mother died a week ago today, the wake was last Sunday, the funeral was this past Monday, and the burial will be this Saturday. This is the hardest thing that I have ever been through. I do not have any siblings, so this has all been put on me. She was ready to go and very well prepared with arrangements, but it does not make it any easier. Today is my first day back at work in a week and when 9:15 came around the sadness came into my heart again.
I love you Mom I will miss you Mom Your Son

....My dear mother, collapsed and died in my arms at 4 am in the morning.....Paramedics bought her back, but she was in a coma. It was up to me to tell them to turn off the machines...and 2 days later I did...7 days before Christmas....in 2000. We were very close, and I was her primamry care giver at the time. Although I have two brothers, all they cared about at the time was....their inheirtence...and since I was the Executor of her estate...they made my life a living hell for well over a year after her death....badgering me for money and other "things" they thought they "deserved".
After they got what they wanted....they were gone....leaving me to attend to all other personal details, the kind that rip your heart out. The year after she died, is nothing more then a blur of pain to me. Its been almost 9 years since she passed....and I just thank God...that I have all those great memories of sharing so many things with her.
Hang tough my friend, and trust me when I say...the pain will fade....and in the mean time...just keep all those fond memories of growing up with her, near and dear to your heart...and know that she is now indeed....in a better place....and smiling down on you at this very minute....

Scoob,
Reading your post put a slight pain in my chest. My father has been in the hospital since last August. He had an aortic anorism and wasn't expected to live through the operation. Since then, I have been called to the hospital on two different occasions to say goodbye. Both times he held strong and recovered. During those times, I had to face the reality of losing him and it was a very tough reality to face. The pain lasted for days, even after it appeared he was getting better.
My heart goes out to you, Bro! May God comfort and strengthen you to help you get through this time. Always remember the great times you had while she was with you!

When my mother passed away 2 years ago it helped to think that she is away on vacation and that I couldn't talk to her right now. But that there will be a day when we can talk again and share experiences again. Not to mention I like the fact that she is happy and not in any more pain, I could only hope that she is doing the things she always loved to do now and when I see her again I will get the most amazingly good report.
