How do you UN-spoil a beautiful woman ?

Take away her checkbook.

an attempt is being made but she is insisting on more income to waste first! She can be a real BI...I mean POTUS !  crazy2

The checkbook is metaphorical. I'm talking about the ability to behave as one wishes without fear of reprisal, not specifically about money. I'm talking about accountability.

But it's so easy for people to cry for spending cuts UNTIL it's the things that we all need. People really have no concept of how the kind of cuts that certain people are looking for are going to affect this country. Not just in entitlement programs either but infrastructure, basic government services, you name it. I don't hear Republicans in their rush to cut spending in entitlement programs also calling for an end to subsidies for big oil or pushing to make corporations shoulder a fair percentage of the tax burden, do you?

Basically their attitude is; "f**k everyone else, we want ours". Don't be naive enough to think that these suits in Washington with R's next to their names are doing this for you, the working man.

I don't like the deficit as it stands any more than anyone else, but then I would have focused on the war in Afghanistan, finished it and been long gone by now, I wouldn't have started the bailout party with 480 billion to financial institutions and automakers that should have been allowed to fail and slashed taxes for the upper class of American earners during a time of national crisis (post 9/11). But that's just me and my name ain't Bush.  Wink

And blaming it on Bush is absolutely relevant to the argument because everyone wants to pile it on the guy we've got now when it's not really his fault that we're in this position. He's had the job for three years, the last guy had it for eight. SUDDENLY Republicans develop a conscience about deficit spending? I ain't buying it.  2funny

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.
In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

it's Bush fault that the Libs are retards, we get it. Bush is OUT and we are in deeper now fore sure. I dont care if its Willie Wonka's fault, taxing the rich WILL NOT FIX IT. Only one fix, spend less than you bring in and until we stop the spending we are doomed. It took alot more than 8 yrs to destroy this country and if you think we can tax our way out of it,I dare you to prove it...get out your check book and donate to the cause. make it out to the IRS and post a photo copy.

Our penny-pinching governor cut the funding to the Confederate Relic Room in Columbia, but I continued to support his
penny-pinching even after he hiked to Argentina.
