the bracket for CB antenna that goes on the left underside of the trunk

I gota cb from a member and initially thought I must have misread his post as I thought it included everything needed. But now I see he left out parts that should have been there   Undecided

I have the radio, push to talk for passenger and antenna (with no wire sticking out) but not that bracket or the noise suppressor

Also cant figure where the male multi prong plug is   Bonzo and I looked everywhere couldnt find it

Maybe when I get to Highbinder and LD's they will know

Thanks

I may have the bracket you're looking for....if I remember correctly the noise surpressor is on the back plate of the alternator....as for the plug, if the bike is wired for the cb from the factory it should be there...we've have a look when you get here.... cooldude

expect to pay $200-300 for the ant bracket. you need to contact the sell and renegotiate the price if the bracket is not included. i'd like to get my hands on an original because one of my riders owns a chrome shop so it would not be a big deal to replicate them.

Don  should i bungee the antenna or leave it home?  My inclination is to leave it home

swoppie (wish I could find your number) wrapped it real well in a cardboard mailing tube, it only sticks out about a foot on each side of the bike when I rode today up to Bonzo's place Shocked  trucks way over the line the other direction coming down the goat trail made for some "fun" moments

Bear if I could ride out to oregon I would take you up on it  Its been way to long..6 years now

Oss,

I'll look as I may have a CB antenna bracket that was cut short. It could be welded back together I suppose and then re-chromed. Pretty sure the noise suppressor is still available from Honda. Others will chime in for clarification I'm sure. It plugs into the radiator fan circuit behind the right side steering neck cover. The CB antenna does separate at the black bulge and becomes two pieces.

All the best,

Mark

the noise suppressor depends on which model Valkyrie you have.  The I/S has a different one than the std/tourer (which mounts to the back side of the alternator).  The I/S suppressor may still be available from Honda, but the Std one only comes in the wiring kit.

Also, as an FYI (you may already know this) the antenna base mount doesn't come with the antenna, it comes with the cb.  These should be fairly easy to build if you have an original as a guide.
