Of a valk of course cooldude Has anyone converted a standard or tourer to be like an interstate but with a woodys or memphis fairing and an interstate trunk?  Saw a cool tourer listed in the classifieds with an interstate trunk but thought it would look killer with a matching fairing and not just a windshield.  If anyone knows of one floating around I would love to see it.

Just sitting here having interstate envy...

Mine is a 2002 standard with bag, rad pods and trunk.  Haven't worked on fairing part, still thinking about what to do.

cooool.  I'm with you.  I can't decide on a fairing.  They all look too high to me by creating a large gap between the front fender and the bottom of the fairing.  Do you have a pics of your setup?

1998 Standard....1999 Tourer saddlebags ....2001 Interstate trunk....Hoppe fairing made for the Valkyrie and used all Tourer hardware to mount it like many things is nolonger made. Woody who is a VRCC vendor worked at Hoppe when I bought the fairing and now builds fairings under his own name. If I was looking today without a doubt I'd give my bike a Woody.   http://woodysfairings.com/products.html

Smokin,

You say they don't make that fairing you have anymore?  The woody really needs the headlight wrap.

No travel trunk, but frame mounted fairing...

It's not a Woody's or Memphis, but I like it.

Way back when I did the fairing the only options were the Hoppe & the Radio Caddy Fairing.

The I/S fairing will work too we've come to find out. At the time I considered it a risky expense since it's all electronic. But, the analog gauges will fit nicely, you just have to figure out how to rig the trip meter for reset which can be done.

I bought this bike new in 98 and immediately began adding to it. A friend wrecked his Interstate and I started out with the trunk and gas tank. I found the Trike Shop fairing and it laid on a shelf for a few years until Dfragn posted pics of his. He inspired me to get off my butt and with his advice I mounted it up but used a VTX headlight I had laying around. My neighbor repainted and pinstriped everything then added the "Roadkill" emblems. The bike had 140k miles on it now and have enjoyed my time with it...

Wow.... they are all beauties.   Go with what you think is best for you, Woody's is good but I wouldn't mind hearing more about that frame mounted fixed fairing.

39 Chev...

Then, what the heck is it?  I really like the lines  cooldude  Got a picture of the drivers view of the inside of that fairing?

Here is my '97 Standard with Champion Saddle Bags, Original Hoppe (designed by Glen of 'Woody's') Fairing, and an Interstate Trunk...

Trunk and Fairing are 'quick release' so knocking her down to a Solo Bagger, is easy  Wink

Gotta admit, Smokin' Joe and his 'Half Breed' gave me the insparation  cooldude

It's a Harley Road Glide fairing.  If you're curious, here's a link to a thread I started when I first got it done.  There's some details on the install there, too.

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,15761.0.html

Here's a pic (not the greatest one, but you get the idea) from the rider's seat.  The cord is the 3.5mm from the I-pod into the radio.
