AGAIN...I have replaced the SECOND (TWO,#2,dos!) another damn battery. This Batt. is #3 !

the walmart brand battery I was given as a gift (of unknown age) did not even last a whole year !  tickedoff tickedoff

Now,after only a few miles (speedo got smashed at 60 thousand miles in 2007 ) my '98 tourer has required another damn battery. I thought these things were reliable  Undecided

I have replaced the lead acid battery with an Absorbed glass mat (AGM) battery and hope it will be superior to the factory engineered, lead acid, type that only lasted 10 years ! gotta pay to play ,I suppose  Roll Eyes

I just replaced my original '99 IS Yuasa a month ago.  Nothing wrong with it, but the ignition/coils were taking a bit longer to fire than usual, so I put the new Yuasa I got two years ago in it finally.

All my bike batteries sit on a Battery Tender 24 X7 when I'm not riding, for years.  Never lost a battery or Tender either.

Only question I have is did you charge it as instructed when it was NEW?

If not, the life span is like 1 or 2 years max.

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

I just replaced my Battery after 11 years of faithful service, of course it died on the way back from my trip accross the country (120 miles from home) I hope i will get the same time/distance out of this one, never used a charging system, just made sure to ride, bike has a great charger on it and you get the joy of being in the wind too  Roll Eyes
