I bet our social security recipients ought to appreciate that.

I got 2.9%.  Alot didn't get anything.  I felt humble.

But then.....after more than 20 years on the wrong end of the gravey train, I don't feel all that bad about finally being able to get an annual raise every year now....even if is peanuts.

However, after looking at that list, it's obvious that I'm in the wrong career.   uglystupid2

Takes that much to be around him,,,,huh?
I'm in a situation where everybody gets the same increase based on entitlement rather than merit.
3% this year.  Not whining, I love what I do and where I am.

I work for the federal gov't in Canada and we will probably get a big 2%.  Even though the cost of living is much higher.

Hmmm...never heard anything about the possibility of any of these guys' checks being late, only social security.  I know I'm naive about these things and you guys will set me straight, but if money is that tight because of not having a budget deal, why would the first thing that gets cut be social security?   Why wouldn't you start with the money that goes to foreign countries that hate us.  They already hate us, so it should be no big deal if their payoffs are late.  Then maybe grant money.  I know its important to study the drinking habits of Chinese prostitutes, but that could probably wait a little while if need be.   It just seems to me that given all of the stuff the government spends money on, if it comes down to cuts or delayed payments because of the budget, why wouldn't you put things like social security and veteran's benefits last on the list.   Unless of course, its all BS.    Bwahahahahaha.
