PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE  is owned by Peter  Lewis: Who is he?  Read  this...VERY  IMPORTANT INFO TO PASS TO  EVERYONE  CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY. .

You've   seen and smiled at the Progressive Insurance TV  commercials

Well,  you' re about to  learn the rest of the story:

You know their TV commercials, the ones featuring the ditsy actress all dressed in white.  What you might not know is that the Chairman of Progressive is Peter Lewis, one of  the major funders of leftist  causes in America. Between  2001 and 2003, Lewis funneled $15 million to the  ACLU,  the group most responsible for destroying   what's left of Americas Judeo-Christian heritage.

Lewis also gave $12.5 million to MoveOn.org <http://moveon.org/>  and American Coming Together, two key propaganda arms of the socialist left. His funding for these groups was conditional on matching contributions from George Soros, the  America-hating socialist who is the  chief financier of the Obama political  machine.

Lewis made a fortune as a result of capitalism, but now finances a progressive movement that  threatens to destroy the American free enterprise system that is targeting television shows on Fox News.

Peter Lewis is making a fortune off of  conservative Americans (who buy his auto insurance) that he applies to dismantle the very system that made him wealthy.  He's banking on no one finding out who he is, so, STOP buying Progressive Insurance and pass this information on to all your  friends.

The one thing about Progressive that bothers me is the "safe driver discount" device.  You know the one that you install in the diagnostic port port of your car's cpu, and it tracks your "safe" driving habits.  Yeah, let me think, hmmmm:   OVER MY DEAD BODY.
Yes, I know, it's an optional thing for insurance buyers to get discounts, and no one is forcing anyone into it.  But, the fact that someone thinks it's a good idea is enough to bother me!

I don't like that little box either and can't imagine anyone thinking that's something they want.

It's funny, but Progressive Flo is kinda gross looking, but something about her makes me think she'd be great in the sack. For one thing I'm a good enough looking guy that if I walk into a bar she's coming home with me. That home run factor means a lot.

Just curious, have they (Progressive) come through for you when you needed them.

I know there have been a lot of comments on the lack of support, when really needed, from the other agencies, right, left, middle, side.

I seem to recall someone posting this some time ago as well.

I've used Progressive for some time and they were there when needed, for my cage anyway (car totalled due to severe hail damage).

No bike related incidents to-date thank goodness.

Good post RJ.... I have twice in the past posted the same information here.  Lewis' multi-million donations to everything left has been second only to George Soros himself.   Lewis stepped down from CEO some time back, but continues as Board Chairman.  His donations as CEO were well documented, but I have had difficulty finding info on Progressive's more recent contributions.

Nonetheless, as I said before, I would not do business with them if they were the best and cheapest insurance available.

I don't like their politics, but that's only reason #2 why I won't use them.  I got nailed by one of their insureds (cage to cage) - no question as to who was at fault - and they dragged their feet for so long I had to sue to get normal (and nominal, BTW) medical costs paid for.  They suck.

Just curious, have they (Progressive) come through for you when you needed them.

I got a crack in my car windshield, and they got it replaced at no extra cost to me, with an OEM windshield.

For whatever reason, maybe the above, my rates have gone up. Wife is checking into it, haven't heard
anything back...

Wife is still waiting on them to donate some money into our checking account for the pain and headaches caused by their insured who run a stop sign.

Out of the box the lady said they would pay $400.   Told her to see me in a year.  The year is up and I told them the pain and suffering she went through has upped her price to $1,000.     Adjuster told me she had agreed to $400 back when the accident happened.    I said bull puckey she did not agree to anything, except to talk and discuss in a year.  I said, that is your offer, I said, the Grand is her counter offer.    Been stuck there ever since.

Got a letter from Progressive that they wanted the wife to sign the release so as to close the file on this accident.    Told them when the adjuster decides to agree to her request and pays it, she will be more than glad to sign it, till then, you can send all the request letters you so desire, and nuttin is going to happen.   Haven't heard back.

They treated me very well when I had my mishap.  They were on  both sides of the table as the driver who caused the impact was also insured by Progressive.  In my case, because I don't agree politically with what some of the primary owners are doing I should stay with them.  I've taken more money out of Progressive than I'll ever put in.   Smiley

On the other hand, State Farm was very hard to deal with when our van got crunched.  They too were on both sides of the table in that incident.

If the population at large thinks Flo is "hot" I am so glad I'm out of touch with the population at large.   Kiss

I am into then for more then they are me, by quite a bit.

I cannot complain about the service. They did exactly what they signed up for, twice, in good time and amount. This adjuster was willing to work with me and we shaved some off the total so that it wouldnt be totaled. My rate did go up a bit for the MC, but honestly, with 2 crashes in 2 years, I understand the price change.

I'm sure that if we looked hard enough, we'd found something like this in just about every company that we do business with

Life's complicated enough and too short for me to "draw such a fine bead'

I will continue with Progressive.

Farm Bureau has got them all beat.

Had Progressive and the policy was outrageous.

Farm Bureau was a 1/3 less and never hassle me on claims.

I wonder if this guy is all that.

I had to deal with them years ago, bike on bike accident.  Their unlicensed motorcycle rider rear
ends me as I was turning.  I had to fight for everything, from the price of my Magna, clothes, helmet,
leather jacket, and medical bills. Thye treated me like it was my fault.  I would never use them.

After reading RJ's post, another reason not to use them.

You really might want to get a lawyer on this.

The insurance co's know all of the tricks and you will never beat them without help.

I don't know how it works in your state but here in VA if you don't file suit or settle within 2 yrs they don't have to pay.

In Nov of 2009 the wifes car was rear ended and totaled, when I called the insurance company of the driver that hit her, the first thing out of the guys mouth was to begin telling me everything that they wouldn't pay.

I told him that his next phone converasation would be with our attorney.

The case still isn't settled since she still has some ongoing issues.

I was rear ended in Dec 2001 the insurance company didn't pay until Jul 2007.

My lawyer told me that then that insurance companies estimate how much a case will cost them as soon as the wreck is reported and they set that money aside into an interest bearing account.

He said that they then drag the case out as long as possible hoping to make all or most of the original capitol back in interest.

I had Allstate and their accident forgiveness program. The were so damn forgiving that they paid the max coverage to my passenger and raised my rates 6X what they were before. Thankfully Lori canceled the policy while I was in a coma and they never got the direct withdrawal. Peter Lewis is making a fortune off of  conservative Americans (who buy his auto insurance) that he applies to dismantle the very system that made him wealthy.  He's banking on no one finding out who he is, so, STOP buying Progressive Insurance and pass this information on to all your  friends.

Couple things....Peter Lewis was so sly, deceiving, and "banking on no one finding out", that he went and hid under the radar, by calling his company...............

...........wait for it................

................it's coming, the sly dog!.................

PROGRESSIVE!!!!!!

duh!!!

There are approximately as many people who believe Peter Lewis is more American, than the Koch Brothers, who are purposely undermining the ability of this country, to EVER recover, as there are people who believe as you do. Pretty much 50/50, or we wouldn't HAVE two parties, nor would there be much in the way of elections. And will be so, probably forever...
