A friend of mine has an 1100 Shadow sabre with a bad water pump looking at it it looks like the pump will not clear the frame when removing it has anyone had any expirence with these bikes it looks like you may have to remove and or raise te engine in the frame to get the pump out of the engine  any help would be appreciated Thanks Steve

As a Shadow owner, the engine has to come out to change the water pump.  I don't have first-hand experience, just remember reading it in the Honda Shadow service manual.

There's a couple of other things he probably wants to do while he's got it out (shift shaft seal is at least one), but I can't find my book at the moment to refresh my mind.  Angry
