I am the proud owner of a red and white standard Valkyrie, dated 6/96 1997, freshly imported to the UK from Colorado.
I love it-her, the womenfolk have named her Valerie, I'm thinking more Brunhilde.
She replaces an 83 V65 Magna as my big bike, we also have a VT600 Shadow and a VLS400 Steed.
Glad to be here, people tell me I am eccentric, so please bear with my Brit "humor". (I even spelt it wrong to fit in better)  Cheesy

one thought: take a good look at the carbs. they may have been leaned out for driving at altitude and may need to be enriched for sea level.

Thank you guys very much for the warm welcome!

I see the Valk is known as "the big girl", "the fat girl" etc. Without wishing to appear vulgar, in female terms I think she's more of a MILF than a girl  laugh

That looks like fun, nearly exactly 1000 miles for me.

I was reading an interesting conspiracy theory the other day, apparently the British Empire was a fake, filmed in a disused parking lot in India.  Grin

Welcome aboard from Colorado!  Congrats on your new ride.

My daughter says to ask you if you know the bike. I'm explaining to her that Colorado is twice the size of Britain

Thanks for that, she's running just the right lean according to the plug color.

Thanks, although my daughter (in the picture) is not impressed with your guess Wink It's her Honda Steed VLS that I built for her last winter. cooldude

Thanks again all, great to be here.
