Sad day in the running world.   :'(
I know that godfire bugged you guys to death about her three races (2009, 2010, 2011).
A special thanks to all that contributed and a double special thanks to Matt who ran her race.
Three and a half years ago she was competing in world class events, and then at a Christmas party her speech was slurred…. we didn’t understand why….. then the diagnosis…. ALS…..
Now she is gone. Thanks to everyone that supported this Dallas athlete.

Sad news, Sharon.  I'm sorry for your loss.  ALS is evil.

I am sorry to hear about Dianes passing. She was an inspiration to all in the running world. I didn't get to make the run this yr. due to dealing with some health issues of my own. I plan on being there next yr.

I've never been a runner (as anyone can tell).  After reading about Diane Proud and her accomplishments, I understand why the running world and the world in general will miss her.

So sorry for the loss of a close friend, Sharon! Hopefully, it is hardest on Diane's survivors doing without her, as she is on to the next excellent adventure - at least that is the way I sell it to myself!

Thanks for sharing your loss. Dad always said, "Go thru it, not around it". Hang in there. ~Jeff
