Probably 30 grand. My 5000 dollar Valk weighs 800lbs and will wheelie too.  Wink

Motorcyclist magazine did a comparison between this same BMW and the Goldwing and came to pretty much the same conclusion - - the BMW is a better sport machine and the Goldwing is a better touring bike.

BTW, the BMW GTL costs in the low 20s and the comparable GW costs $28K.

Here are a couple of GTL vs GW comparisons:

I was pretty excited about the BMW.  I finally got a good look at one and I was not impressed on the look.  The bike looks pretty fragile and the bags are pretty wimpy.  The valks bags are better made and bigger.  The trunk bag won't even fit our two full face helmets.  I would not spend the money.  Here in Canada the GTL sell for 28k, about the same price as the wing.  I would rather have the wing if I were to change.

After watching my buddy's problems with the final drive bearing in his K1200LT, I could care less about them cause BMW stands for Bring More Wallets.

The BMW's have had problemactic rear ends have been well documented. Paralever I believe its called. I hope the new model eliminates any gremlins.

I test rode one this spring, and I agree with bscrive. It just doesn't have a good feel to it to me. It feels light riding it, but I like the heavier feel of the Valk. I will tell you though, the damn thing is FAST! I'd like to see a naked version  Evil

The dude that owns this one I'm checking out in the picture below told me he could do a wheelie through all six gears . I told him he was full of s**t but to go for it I'll take a few pictures....Needless to say he just walked away  Roll Eyes   I'd have one but just like the Wing and Harley I don't see paying that much for a motorcycle when the Fat Girl  RULES  cooldude
