What in the world is this jerk thinking of? When it comes to grading him on the first 100 days, I give him an "A" since he's accomplished a tremendous amount.......of damage. The attached is only a miniscule portion of it. He traveled all over Europe on an official apology mission, when Europe should be apologizing and thanking the U.S. for what we've done for them in the last century. Capping off his "big show" by bowing to the leader of a depressive country that harbors a terrorist population. His cabinet is rife with tax evaders and self-serving fools that couldn't pass a high degree security background check, yet they're supposed to help him run the country. And now, this fool is trying to determine if he wants to bring charges against members of the prior administration re. the handling of prisoners. If so, he better have plenty of handcuffs to go around because those that are screaming the loudest knew exactly what was going on.

John, I spent some time on active duty and used to teach law of armed conflict, Hague and Geneva, and use of deadly force.  I also had my wedding in Turkey visited by some of Col Quadafi's people in 1986, after we sent our F111's to visit him for his actions against US service members in Europe.

The people we are fighting in the Middle East are not lawful combatants (in uniform, following (at least to some degree) the law of armed conflict).  They are entitled to very little in the way of due process.   We were/are not cutting off fingers or using electricity.  Even the socialist Brits have the "offical secrets" rules to stop public dissemination of things involving national security.  The discussion of interrogation techniques on these unlawful terrorist combatants hould have NEVER made it into the public arena.  NO ONE has a right to know this stuff; neither the media, the people, and certainly not our enemies (who would gleefully torture to death and behead any US warrior they get their hands on).

Say we catch some guys we absolutely know just planted a nuke or dirty bomb in a major US city (with estimated death toll in the millions).  Do we give them lawyers, and Miranda, and politley ask them if they will tell where it is in exchange for a plea bargain?  Now what do we do when we catch guys who will fly aircraft into the twin towers, or blow up the Marine Barracks in Beirut, or the Stark, or a convoy, or even torture and behead one lowly private US soldier.  And tell the news media?

No, we turn it over to the professionals, the rough men who stand ready to do violence on our behalf so we can sleep blissfully in our beds.  And we do not talk about it; it is national security, and it is nobody's business but the professionals.  Our enemies laugh their ass off at this stuff in our media, and rightfully view it as weakness and cowardice (which pretty well defines the left).  They cannot wait to drive our country to ruin, and are working hard to do so.

Course that's only my opinion, but I am NOT wrong.

I'm in total agreement. The media and the general public have no business sticking their noses in this. When it comes to getting information that affects millions of our citizens, I say do what's necessary. Anything they do won't hold a candle to the actions and torture handed out by the enemy. And to top it off, the bleeding hearts in the ACLU and Washington want to prosecute. Give me a break. My suggestion to them is go see for yourself, get in the middle of what the G.I. sees, get your buddies head chopped off and then come back and tell me about all their so-called rights. And, if our various agencies hadn't been so stupid as to keep information "in house" we possibly might not have had the 911 attack in the first place.

I can't even talk to my wife about this stuff, she's so brainwashed and such an admirer of the current white house dufus that there is no reasoning with her. Just turns her back on information I either pass on via email or read to her. Tells me that's just the media take on it, so I ask her who the heck does she think got this joker in the white house in the first place. She has a hard time realizing the media lets us know only the picture they want us to see....and paint it accordingly. I try to not even bring up politics around here.

Seriously underestimate the enemy that we are facing today.

They think that we must play "NICE" or even worse they think that if we would just leave them alone they'll leave us alone.

Our enemy is not inclined to play by the rules and they will not just go away.

Their stated intent is the DEATH of every man, woman and child in America and they will stop at nothing to achieve this.

If you think for one moment that this isn't true consider this: They had no way of knowing who was in the World Trade Center on September 11th.  No way of knowing if it was just workers or kids on their 3rd grade class field trip.

And you know what else, THEY didn't care!

The only way to win a war is to either kill all of your enemy or to kill enough of them that the rest give up!

There is nothing PRETTY or CIVILIZED about WAR!

Yes, the present administration has already called a halt to the new light weight mobile artillery piece that was to be built at Elgin, Ok., a small town about 10 miles northeast of Lawton-Ft. Sill.  It sure didn't take 100 days for this administration to start whittling away at the military.  I hope that there is still enough military left by the time the population finally wakes up and gets this farce out of office....JTL   Angry

Paranoia strikes deep,
Into your life it will creep,
It starts when your always afraid,
Step out of line, the man come and take you away.

You boys feeling a bit paranoid?  Might help to read/listen to something besides Rush and other right wing news sources.

PARANOIA:

Definition:
Paranoia is a symptom in which an individual feels as if the world is "out to get" him or her. When people are paranoid, they feel as if others are always talking about them behind their backs. Paranoia causes intense feelings of distrust, and can sometimes lead to overt or covert hostility.

Description:
An individual suffering from paranoia feels suspicious, and has a sense that other people want to do him or her harm. As a result, the paranoid individual changes his or her actions in response to a world that is perceived as personally threatening. Objective observers may be quite clear on the fact that no one's words or actions are actually threatening the paranoid individual. The hallmark of paranoia is a feeling of intense distrust and suspiciousness that is not in response to input from anybody or anything in the paranoid individual's environment.

Considering the threat I don't believe that a non-trust of Terrorists qualifies as PARANOIA.

Additionally:

Not TRUSTING this group to make good decisions doesn't exactly qualify as PARANOIA either.
