I also like the idea, but they probably wouldn't go for it. Reminds me; about the mid-70's I was flying with a friend in his C-150 doing the morning traffic watch over Orlando for a local radio station. I was getting some free time at the controls, he was getting a nap. I'd nudge him once in a while and he'd give a brief report and snooze some more. One chilly morning in January, we were doing a slow cruise over downtown and he grabbed his binoculars while giving a report. While looking down, he commented on air "wow, would you look at that, it's so cold this morning I just spotted two county commissioners on Orange Ave. with their hands in their own pockets for once." He got a little flak over that one, but when he metioned in private a few choice items he was privy to, the whole thing was dropped. The next morning I was back to flying and he was back to napping. |
