VTX(or could be chopped) front fender, and a chopped rear fender. (Neither was OEM) Looks like a smaller front tire as well. -Scott

Stack pipes, Drag bars (but didn't change the cables... way too long) I'm always suspicious of a 14 year old bike with just 13K miles... I'd venture to say it's been turned over and has 113K miles.

The rear end looks jacked up too, though it could be an illusion caused by the chopped rear fender. The bike could be really nice with a little effort.

I doubt it. I have a 98 with just under 12k. The guy I bought it from kept her in a climate controlled garage and waxed it more than rode it.

Miles could/should be good. I pick up ad papers down here all the time with 8-10-12 year old m/c with 4500 to 8500 miles on them all the time. I ride when i can and managed to put on 12202 on my Valkyrie in one year. And i feel like my miles ain't nothing special. My son inlaw comes to mind. He has a 750 honda shadow. I've called him more than once this summer to see if he wanted to go out and roll about 200 miles or so. Haven't shared wind with him yet this summer. And truth be told-i really don't expect to share wind with him any time soon. Sad part is the boy is only 26. Would rather game on the computer. Did not mean to hijack the thread. RIDE SAFE.

I'm always suspicious of a 14 year old bike with just 13K miles... I'd venture to say it's been turned over and has 113K miles. I disagree. I bought mine, 15 months ago, with 9,000+ miles on it. It now has 15,000 miles on it. There are a LOT of low-mile Valkyrie's out there, as I am always looking for perhaps another one. And I want it low miles, within reason. I've seen probably a dozen with less than 10,000 since I bought mine, and probably 4 with less than 5,000 miles! Mine was first owned by a gent in the Navy, who got stationed overseas soon after buying it. He hung onto it for a few years, but eventually he sold it to his brother in law, who developed a degenerative muscle disease, and couldn't ride it. He hung onto it for a few years, but made one last 2,500 mile trip on it and decided to sell it, and so I bought it. I'm also inclined to believe, that there's a little "HD" in a lot of people - buy the bike, put a lot of money into making it "theirs", then for whatever reason, don't enjoy riding it, CAN'T ride it, life changes, etc, etc, and end up selling it with low miles. That, my friends, is to OUR advantage!! Roger

Unless you happen to LIKE to wrench, then it's a small trade off, for a virtually brand new bike. Plus, often they are run enough to keep them limber... 500 miles, driven twice a year, for 10 years...I'll go for that! R

Low Miles...? I purchased my 2000 standard in Mach 2011 w/35,800K miles. As of now it has 37,200. It will probably turn 40k in four more years. I just don't ride enough any more. My right leg and hip are a literal pain in the ass! When I PLAN a ride, I must be sure that I can rest for the next couple of days! My 1977 GL1000 CAFE RACER has 14,200 original miles. I can ride it painlessly for days on end. Indeed, when I am in pain, I limp to it and ride it hard... It happilly cruises at 105 MPH... oops... err... @ 65 MPH

...........kept her in a climate controlled garage and waxed it more than rode it. I recall one Inzane where a guy won the award for lowest milage Valkyrie. He received his award to a room full of Boo's and Hisses (all in good fun of course). His girlfriend was sitting behind me and stated "Why are they booing, he cleans it all the time!". All I could do was shake my head. And I'm not the one who should be talking, especially this year. I think I only put a couple hundred miles on her all season due to an inability to ride due to life and family circumstances.

I bought mine from the original owner with 20K on it last october. He had other bikes to ride and lived in Michigan. It was/is pretty much as new. I am quite proud of our 6000 miles we have put on in a year with what available time we have together(mostly 2 up), work miles would be 8 one way and lots of deer at night so not much daily use. If I was working day shift, I'd be riding somewhere all the time with guys after work. miles = vacation time & $ to spend !!
