What's your lady's name? I don't know who was the first owner of my girl, but something must have happened to him. Pretty sure she was a standard. Then and had a faring, hard bags, trunk, stacks, caps, pipes, and all the chrome that I think he could find for the bike. Then she sat, only 1600 miles in over a decade. pore girl was left outside in the rain as well. There's corrosion and pitting on the rims, rust on the cheaper chrome and pipes. Makes me think he must have lost her in a divorce. So from 15 feet away she still looks good but up close, not so much. So because of her condition I gave her the name "The Big Nasty" and she is one bad girl.

I'm leaning towards Gardula. I'm a Star Wars fan, and since she's a fat lady I figured you couldn't get more fatter than Jabba's main squeeze. I could go with Yarna, the six-boobed dancer at Jabba's Palace... so many choices.

Mine had an unusual name. When I was a caregiver for my wife and she was going steadily downhill, she told me to go for a ride on my Valkyrie.
During the ride, I named my Valkyrie Emanual (God With Us). God most certainly was.
When I sold my Valk to Li'L D (Deb) ,she had it repainted but had the name put back on the front fender, so it's still named Emanual. I'm lucky to have friends like Deb and Darrel.

My Bike is Named well it does not have a name. It is Al's Bike, The Black Interstate. My wife says we have to keep it, cause we won't both fit on the Electraglide at the same time. The Valk is Fatter,, Longer,, and Has a bigger seating area. SO I am stuck with her until death do we part. Read anything you want into that. It would most likely be right.

Drakkar which means a Viking longship..... That's vaguely homoerotic. I always thought that naming motorcycles was kind of odd. Mine doesn't have a name. Though I did call my FLSTF "Rosie" because it was heavy and obnoxious.

Sorry, no name here, other than "The Honda", or the "Valk". It's a motorcycle, an inanimate object. Now my wife on the other hand is: Hon, Sweetheart, Snugglebunny, Babe, Baby, and some I won't share.

Her name is Esmeralda, from Victor Hugo's 1831 novel, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". In the book, Esmeralda was a French Gypsy girl, constantly attracted men with her seductive dances, and was rarely seen without her clever goat Djali. My wife has long called me an old goat, so all the parts just seem to fit.

She is Sleipnir: Sleipnir is Odin's steed, is the child of Loki and Svaưilfari, is described as the best of all horses, and is sometimes ridden to the location of Hel. (a la Wikipedia)
"course I would have to ask Dag how to properly pronounce it. I am afraid my mid-west gringo-speak twang butchers the name somewhat.

Hildr. In Norse mythology Hildr is the name of a Valkyrie who could revive the dead on the battlefield. She definitely revives me every time we ride!
