I'm a newb to this site and Valkyries, but a veteran forumite and motorcyclist.
I found the forum while googling around for my imminent Valk purchase. I have a garage full of Pasta and Rice sportbikes and CVO Harleys, etc. It's time to add a Flat6 monster to the fleet.
I love the 6/6 Cobra sound and appearance. I'm considering a member's bike that is so equipped. I have plenty of stupid-fast stuff, so I'm not after max numbers; but I'd like to have the real skinny on actual average dyno numbers comparatively between the Cobra 6/6, OEM, and other systems.
I simply want the look and sound of the 6/6s with no power LOSS from OEM. What's the scoop on jetting, needles, etc. ACROSS THE RPM RANGE and PEAK.
While I appreciate butt dynos and rhetoric in context, I'm looking for real empirical numbers beyond general personal impressions. My wet-thumb-for-windage says little or no loss (from OEM) with appropriate tuning, which means mid-90s hp/tq figures. (I'm more after air/fuel tune at all rpm versus bragging rights for a big peak number.)
What am I gaining or giving up to have the Cobra 6/6s? Any before/after dyno charts?
(All other exhaust discussion welcome. Civility is appreciated.)

opinion around here seems to run along the line of no real hp loss, but serious hearing loss!

Are they? Any tuning details or tips? I'll dyno mine, but would like to know in advance how to tune for the best overall numbers. Any additional tips for getting 100/100 hp/tq with the Cobra deaf-makers?

Any additional tips for getting 100/100 hp/tq with the Cobra deaf-makers? You can install dyna jet kit. These are the needles and not the jets. You'll get your hp back you lost, but lose gas mileage. Of course we didn't buy them for gad mileage. I would put the needls third notch from bottom. They also come with new springs for the slide. I would invest with the I/S springs not costly and work better. You could also shim the stock needles, with the I/S springs and be pretty close to stock hp. The Cobra pretty loud with the baffles out, but do sound good. David

Two Brothers 6x6 do not require any rejetting or mods to carbs. Maybe not as loud as Cobras, but they'll hear you before they see you

Keep the COBRA'S, cut the baffles about two thirds .You love the tone .Also install DYNA TEC 3000 controler. WHEN YOU JUMP ON IT, YOU WILL FEEL AND HEAR ALL THE POWER-YOU COULD ASK FROM THE OL GIRL .I set my RPM setting on 8000 and POWER setting on no.6. works for me!Runs like a raped ape from about 3500 rpm on.

So... after a couple more hours searching the site, I found ONE dyno chart for the Cobra 6/6s with 93.6hp and 94.0tq. And I have yet to see any reference to a stocker over 100hp, with the few I found being in the 94 to 99 range. Looks like my 95/95 guess was on the money.
Does anybody dyno their bike?!

Do a dyno run every year, 94 to 99 everytime, stock pipes, with piggies cut and rear baffles drilled and grumpy's tips installed. Here's last year's. Hoser

Which is the torque curve and which is the HP curve? Is the steeper one the torque and the flatter one the HP?
